Can I use Intense Debate with Wordpress' Signup Process?
Just installed Intense Debate using Wordpress, but I still want people to signup using the Wordpress signup process in order to comment on Intense Debate. Is this possible?

Inappropriate? You want people to be using the same username for wordpress as with IDC? AFAIK this is not possible with normal password but perhaps by using OpenID?
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Ah ok thanks. That sucks because I really like IDC, but I want registered Usernames in my database.
-
Inappropriate?aeropause, you can do that. Just use the WP-Open ID plugin and have the users relate their OpenIDs to their username.
I’m helpful
-
Inappropriate?Really? :-)
Is the WP-Open ID plugin a plugin for IDC or for WP itself?
I’m happy again
-
Inappropriate?Ok it looks like it's a WP plugin. I'll give this a try thanks!
-
Inappropriate?db0: How do I "have the users relate their OpenIDs to their username. " once I've got this plugin installed and IDC of course.
Thanks a lot
-
WP Open ID adds a new field to the user AFAIR. You'll need to read the instructions of the plugin itself -
Inappropriate? Now that WordPress has acquired IDC, it wont be long before these two functions are merged.
A registered user on your blog would also be registered with IDC, or a present IDC user could register on your blog with same username.
This would be fantastic, as it would be a universal profile on all WordPress blogs, that require registration.
I hope this comes out soon, as registering members on your blog would then be a breeze! I suggest you hold off the Open ID registration option for sometime.
I’m excited
