Inappropriate?Hi TorVN -- are you using the IntenseDebate enhanced comment moderation panel, or the core WordPress moderation options?
If you're using the IntenseDebate one, sometimes it takes a second for the approve command to happen, and currently there's no visual feedback to indicate that it's doing something, but that you need to wait a moment (we're changing that in the near future).
If you're using the WordPress moderation tools, then it can take a few minutes to synchronize those changes to IntenseDebate as well because of the way the sync process works.
Please let me know if you're still having issues and we'll see what we can figure out. -
Inappropriate?well, I now have 3 comments showing up. Should I just do the resync thing and whipe everything?
-
Inappropriate? If you already have 3 copies of a comment showing, then doing a new import is probably not going to help.
Can you please describe the exact process you're following that's causing this? If you can include details like: which comment moderation panel you're using (wordpress, intensedebate.com or intensedebate enhanced panel in wp-admin), and also what you're clicking, approximate time you're waiting between each step etc, we can hopefully figure out just what's going on. -
Inappropriate?Same problem as above...I am using enhanced moderation...yet when I approve a comment nothing happens. To force approval I have to go into the comments area and then click on approve.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Manasai, what's the URL to your website? Do you have *lots* of comments? We're working on some performance improvements because some users with lots of comments have thought that the moderation was broken, when it was just taking longer than they expected to do something.
Thanks, -

Inappropriate?Just to confirm; you've got "Enhanced Moderation" enabled in Settings > IntenseDebate (within WordPress), and you're attempting to moderate comments by clicking the "Comments" menu item on the left of your WordPress admin panel, then just clicking the "Approve" link for a comment. Is that correct?
When you click Approve does anything at all happen? Sometimes it can take a second or two for something to happen (visually). I'm going to add some visual feedback to indicate that it's trying to do something, because I know it can be misleading right now.
When you say "To force approval I have to go into the comments area and then click on approve", which comments area specifically are you going to?
Thanks for your patience and helping us figure this out. -
Inappropriate?Let me answer your questions a bit more.
Enhanced Moderation is ON
When I Approve a comment it does not appear approved.
In order to approve a comment I must go into the comments area ( left click) within Wordpress Dashboard.
then I run into THIS problem:
http://getsatisfaction.com/intensedeb... -
Inappropriate?OK, you say "When I Approve a comment it does not appear approved." -- where exactly are you clicking to approve a comment, or how are you approving them?
Please describe *exactly* what you're doing and where you're doing it to make sure we're talking about the same thing here.
As an example, when you first log into wp-admin, and you see that the "Dashboard" item in the left menu is highlighted, there is (by default) a "Recent Comments" area on that page. Clicking Approve there is using the WordPress moderation tools, *not* ID's Enhanced Moderation. The *only* place Enhanced Moderation works is if you click the "Comments" link in the main (left) menu within wp-admin. -
Inappropriate?Well what you described was exactly the problem. I did not realize the two were seperate ly controlled elements. Please close this. Others who are experiencing this now have a resolution.
I’m happier
