comment link on post not showing
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?i dont think this is a problem but actually how it works.
I would love the comments to appear as standard fully populated under the post in wordpress (an other systems) on the front page without having to click the link as well!!!!
-
Well, there's a girl's blog that I follow & she has it. So I know it's possible. I thought it was standard (because I saw hers) and wasn't getting it. Even if it isn't standard, I would love to figure out how to do it. See her blog/comment link here http://wrecklessphotography.blogspot.com/ -
Inappropriate?thats the first of the three comment display types.
It opens the comments when you click the comment wording below the article. This is great but i think we were hopeing there was a way that when you load the main page the comments were already opened.
i would liek to use this system to create a b3ta.com type message board and with some clever themeing you could create a really nice web 2 style version of that board with nested comments.
i have come very close using wordpress and drupal to do this but dont have the time right now to code up a fully features theme to do it.
thanks for the info though!

Inappropriate?Kelly, I believe I responded to your email. There should be a comment link on the main page. There is most likely something funky going on here.
Which blog platform are you using?
Thanks,
Michael
I’m confident

Kelly, could you please email me your blog template? Support@intensedebate.com . We'll get this sorted out. Thanks -
Inappropriate?Michael, same thing happening here.
My blog url is mainwaypc.com
thanks, neil -
Hey Neil. Thanks for contacting. I just checked your blog and I'm seeing a comment link. What browser and version are you using? On which post are you encountering this? -
Inappropriate?Hi Michael,
My platform is Windows XP (sp2).
There are 3 posts on my blog at http://www.mainwaypc.com
- From Firefox (v3), all 3 posts show a proper comment link
- From IE (v6), only the 2nd post "8051 Single Board Computer", has a blank link for the comment url. Not sure why?
Thanks, Neil -
Thanks Neil. I'm looking into it now. -
Inappropriate?Neil, are you still having this issue? We're unable to recreate this using Firefox 2&3 and IE7.
In terms of IE6, there are a lot of issues for no apparent reason. We'll keep investigating, but I'm not hopeful in diagnosing this issue since we are unable to recreate it.
Sorry to deliver the bad news. Please let me know if the issue persists and we can take a look at our options from there.
Michael -
Neil, we're investigating the IE6 issues. I'll let you know if we find anything. -
Hi Michael, Thanks for your help -- but I'm still seeing the problem on all 3 posts in IE. In Firefox v3, however, all comment links are appearing properly at the bottom of each post. In IE 6, the 1st 2 posts show blank links, the 3rd post shows correctly. In IE 7 -- at least one of the posts showed a blank link. Again, the blog page is at: http://www.mainwaypc.com Any more ideas? Thanks, Neil -
Inappropriate?Same problem here, along with others I posted as a separate issue: http://getsatisfaction.com/intensedeb...
There is a comments link that came with the template and appears at the top of the page, but nowhere does it say what I see on other blogs...like "posted by frank" "comments (4)"
You can see it at work here: http://wrecklessphotography.blogspot....
and here: http://spillingbuckets.blogspot.com/
but not on my site: http://thefrankspot.blogspot.com/
I’m almost ready to scrap it.
-
Frank, you can customize the text in your blog settings page at http://intensedebate.com. Select the tab named after your blog followed by the settings sub-tab. Please let me know if this solves the issue. I'm responding to your other post. -
Inappropriate?Yes I also need help on such trype of problem the comments form got deleted now no onw can comment on my blog...http://templatestreasure.blogspot.com/
I’m sad
-
IntenseDebate doesn't seem to be installed on your blog. Could you please clarify what the issue is? Have you installed IntenseDebate? -
Inappropriate?I actually fixed the problem by changing to a new template, then replacing the built-in comments section with tags from a template that worked properly... You can see the working version on my site now.
I’m a little dissappointed that I had to do so much work
-
Inappropriate?Frank, I'm glad you were able to fix this. ID looks great on your blog. I apologize for the frustration.
Cheers,
Michael
