Comment Sync Problem - PLS RESPOND SOMEONE!!
I upgraded ID to latest version and wordpress to 2.8.
I reinstalled ID on my site at rahuljauhari.com
Now check my post at http://rahuljauhari.com/2009/06/15/bl...
Out of these 24 comments, as many as 17 are in the ID system, but do not show up on Wordpress.
Which means ID is not syncing back to Wordpress.
That's dangerous because I lose my comments if i uninstall ID.
I have sent multiple mails to ID - am getting no assistance from there despite detailed mails.
Where do I get a solution?
I even exported comments from ID in XML format - so I could manually import the missing comments into wordpress
But Wordpress only imports from (WXR) format.
So I am stuck!!
Will anyone HELP PLS????

Inappropriate?Hi there,
I checked in on your blog a little earlier and you had Disqus enabled, now you're back to IntenseDebate and there are 24 comments showing up on that post, so I'm not exactly sure what's missing here.
If you've been toggling things back and forth then it's quite possible that syncing was broken while you were doing that. If the ID plugin is disabled, then syncing will stop because the plugin is not responding on your WordPress install, so it can't receive comment sync requests.
We're working on an improved "self-repairing" system to handle this, but right now if you enable/disable things like that, then it's quite possible that you will not have 100% synchronization.
Please let me know if this issue continues to occur. I'm happy to help troubleshoot and get everything working as it should.

Inappropriate?24 comments are showing, but in the wordpress system only 6 comments are showing. I disabled ID, used clearid and reinstalled it twice, but comments made on ID are not syncing back to wordpress. Is there any way I can import ID comments manually into wordpress?
I’m anxious

Inappropriate? There's not currently a way for you to manually do this, although I'm looking at how hard it would be for us to add this feature, as it would allow people to fix small issues like this themselves when they happened.
As I mentioned, we're also looking at implementing what I call "self-healing" in the sync process, where it will automatically go back over previous comments and fix up any information that's missing, import new comments that may have been missed, etc.
It looks like you've disabled ID completely now, so I hope you got something sorted out.
Regards,
Beau
