Comments and trackbacks closed after removing IntenseDebate!?
Nobody can comment on any of my posts (either old or new) after I removed the IntenseDebate plugin from my WordPress blog.
Both of them are enabled in the WP settings for every post but the comment form just doesn't appear and the theme claims that both of them are closed!?!
I'm using WP 2.8.3 and have disabled the IntenseDebate plugin just like you say in your manual for instructing how to remove it from my blog.
Please help me, this really is urgent as I can't communicate with my community nor vice-verca!

Inappropriate?Have you made sure that the appropriate options are selected under Settings > Discussion (core WordPress options).
Namely:
Allow people to post comments on new articles --> Checked
Automatically close comments on articles older than days --> Unchecked
Also you might need to check your theme's comments template to make sure that it's set up correctly if this is the first time you've used it (if you've previously used ID).

Why, that was checked and I can't remember ever checking that... :\
