Comments not posting, not being counted or updating recent comment widget!
I am using ID 2.4.2 on WordPress 2.8.4 but am seeing some strange behavior on my site: http://bytedaily.net/
Specifically:
1. The comment counter on the main page is not displaying an accurate count of posted comments: For example see: http://bytedaily.net/?p=482
2. I see comments in the WordPress dashboard but they are not being displayed on the blog. For example see: http://bytedaily.net/?p=476
3. The 'Recent Comment' widget does not appear to update anymore.
I think I upgraded the ID plugin and then started experiencing these issues because I had no trouble previously. Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Hi there - I just downloaded a copy of the theme that you're using and it looks like it uses some crazy custom code to load the comment count, rather than using the built-in functions provided by WordPress.
The plugin normally hooks into the core WordPress functions and adds some extra information so that we can load the comment count from IntenseDebate, but because your theme isn't using those functions, we can't do that.
Regardless, obviously the counts are a bit different, which is no good.
I've just run our SyncRepair tool on your account and it looks like it's synced back comments on this post at least: http://bytedaily.net/?p=482 (there are now 6 showing on your comment count at the top-left, where before there was only 1).
Please let us know if you keep seeing this issue so we can look into it - hopefully it was a temporary problem and it's all back up to date now.

Inappropriate? Thanks for getting in contact. I reset your import which should take care of it. Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your reply. Do I need to do anything at this point? I looked at my blog and the problem persists. -
Inappropriate?Sorry Michael -
I just received an email which stated the import completed but still no change. -
