Comments on WordPress Blog are disappearing
Comments on my WordPress blog 1WineDude.com are disappearing after being entered by me and by visitors. This is happening intermittently.
Unfortunately, it's happening on a day when my blog is seeing it's highest traffic ever.
The Reply counts for some nested comments is also showing what I think are correct counts for replies to that thread, but often the replies are NOT being shown by IntenseDebate.

Inappropriate? Can you please provide me with specific links to where this is occurring and specific comments?
Thanks,
Michael -
I reset your import. Please let me know how it goes. -
Inappropriate? It's happening to me too. I'm using your interactive widget in my left sidebar to display new comments, and the new comments show up there. But when I click on them, they don't lead anywhere. Also, when I first installed Intense Debate I was able to reply by e-mail and my reply would show up on my blog. Now whenever I try that, it fails to show up.
Here are the links to the threads where I posted comments today but the comments have not appeared. Sometimes SOME (but not all) of the comments do appear but only when I'm logged in to Intense Debate:

I’m frustrated, anxious, angry

I reset your import. That should take care of it. Please let me know how it goes. -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. This isn't the first time, but I can't provide direct links because I deleted and re-entered the comments. That I can tell, only my comments are coming up missing, but it's really, really aggravating. It seems to be blogwide and intermittent. I had previously heard that it was a result of faulty askimet filtering, so I turned it off. I thought I had the problem solved, but it doesn't look like it.
My blog's at http://written.kristynmarie.com
I’m seriously unhappy

Inappropriate? This seems the same as the other topic that's open for this reason. Check that out and vote it up: http://getsatisfaction.com/intensedeb...

Taking a look. Thanks. -
Inappropriate? It does look like the same issue...
-
Inappropriate? No. The problem is that the comments are disappearing. Yes, they're in the comment system, but they show up and then disappear. I've done a little looking into it and it seems like it's usually replies that are coming up missing for me.
I’m still frustrated

this solves the problem

Kristyn, this is the same issue as in the link I've posted. I'm having the same problem. -
Inappropriate?I agree, Kristyn - the comments (especially Replies, but not always) do appear in the ID admin screens, etc., but are simply missing from being displayed on my blog via ID.

Inappropriate?Hi all,
Thanks for your patience. We're taking a look at what's causing this. If you encounter this again please try resetting the plugin to resync your accounts. You can do this in your plugin settings page in your WordPress admin panel. The option is located at the bottom of the page.
Thanks,
Michael
I’m confident

Noticed today we are not seeing replies on posts. It shows the reply > arrow but if you toggle it nothing appears.
An example post is here:

Inappropriate?I just encountered this issue as well.
Last night, I could see the question in the comment administration page of my site, but not on the relevant page on my blog or on intense debate.
I didn't get an email notification for the comment. Also, while I did reply to the comment,
I’m worried

Inappropriate?@Zak, what's the URL for your website? Do you have IntenseDebate fully enabled, or do you have the comments template or moderation panel using the WordPress method?
-
Inappropriate?http://blog.lexpubli.ca
We were using the IntenseDebate plugin (which I disabled) with Wordpress 2.8. I'll re-enable the plugin in a moment so that you can have a peek.
The issue we are experiencing seems repeatable. Disabling the plugin allows one particular comment to show. Enabling the plugin hides the comment.
Let me know if you need other information. I'm happy to provide DB dumps and so on.
I’m happy to have a quick response

Inappropriate? It sounds like what's happened is that a comment didn't get imported to ID correctly, so when you disable ID, it loads direct from your WP install, and then when you enable ID, the comment disappears because ID doesn't know about it.
I've reset the import details on your blog, so if you can please go back in and click the button at the bottom of the Settings > IntenseDebate page within WordPress, then re-start the import process. It should re-do the import and hopefully pick up that comment, then you can go from there.
Thanks!

Inappropriate?I've re-imported blog comments. So far, the missing comment continues to be AWOL. I appreciate the quick help though. I'll check on the state of comments in another hour or so.
