Comments Showing up in Admin, Missing from Site
My "comments" section on my self hosted WP blog shows all the comments. But since enabling ID those comments are not showing up on the posts.
Example:
This post: http://hitchedhiker.com/2009/02/22/ca... has about 15 comments, but none show up!
Comments are missing from the blog in no particular order. But they are showing up in the blog admin comments area.

Inappropriate?I apologize for the delay. We have corrected an issue with the importer. I'd love it if you gave it another shot. Any interest?
Thanks for your patience,
Michael

Inappropriate?I'm still having this problem, and I just re-imported for the 100th time.

Inappropriate?I'm having this problem too -- I made a comment in reply to a comment on my blog. It's showing up in the Admin, but missing online. The count for the comments is accurate. I've tried refreshing the page but it still doesn't show.

I can't understand why I can see my comment in the Comment History, but it's not showing up online??? I'm using Intense Debate version 2.1.1 with self-hosted Wordpress blog version 2.7.1 -
Inappropriate?I had this same problem last night. New coment posted to wp-admin - I approved and replied and now comment and reply are not appearing. It still shows in wp-admin and in the recent comments list on the side bar. I've had one additional comment since and it is appearing. Please advise on how to fix this. www.livinggracefully.net

Inappropriate?Could it be caching on local computer? I just forced FF3 to reload afresh (Command Shift R) and the comments showing on ID Dashboard and WP side widget but were missing in WP post comment area are now showing...

Inappropriate? Is anybody trying to fix this problem?
exists here: http://intensedebate.com/commenthisto...
And here is where it is missing on site: http://www.myvoiceoverguy.com/voice-o...

I gave up long ago. I deactivated the Intense Debate comment system and went back to using just the Wordpress comment system. All comments showed up immediately. I've never had a problem since, and WordPress now allows comments threading (nesting) up to 10 levels deep. I'm very happy with it, and I will never go back to using Intense Debate -- too many issues from the start. -
Inappropriate?I agree - gave up on Intense Debate - they've release four updgrades since the problem and still not one fix for the actual problem. I am using "Disqus" and it is working great. I also may go back to wp comments as that has improved w/nesting.

Inappropriate?@D.C. Douglas - I reset your import. That should correct the issue. Please let me know how it goes.
We’re in the final stages of testing our new self-healing comment sync, SyncRepair. SyncRepair looks for discrepancies between the comments stored in your IntenseDebate account and those stored in WordPress. If it finds anything that doesn’t look right, it’ll re-sync those comments and get you back in good shape.
This is just around the corner!

How can I "reset" my import. It's stuck at 0% for literally a week. -
Inappropriate? It appears that this has been ongoing for at least 6 months. Has it been fixed. Or should I just dump this and move back to disqus?
I’m Very frustrated!!
-
Inappropriate? All I can tell you is I've had no problems with Disqus whatsoever and this program seems to cause everyone problems. I'd go back.
I’m me

Inappropriate?I have the same problem - backed up the database, and updated WP hoping that would fix it. The only thing that worked was disabling IDC plug-in, which I rather like. All comments are there when I use WP comments, but recent comments are missing using IDC.
I have tried to do a clean import, but it is stuck at 0%. I've tried several times, once allowing it to run overnight, to no avail.

Inappropriate?I gave up and moved away from ID to a plugin that used my own database so I would have more control. The plugin I moved to was "Comment Notifier" an I am really happy with it and have had no problems.
-
How long have you been using this one? -
Inappropriate?About a month... not a single hiccup in that time. By the way, when I was having problems I sent support an email and heard back from about a week later. By then I had already moved. I have a group on LinkedIn for bloggers called The Blog Zone (http://bit.ly/1d19H) where we discuss these types of issues as well as how to secure more traffic, etc.
