Do trackbacks go through the spam blacklist too?
Every day, I get several spam trackbacks from gift-center-online.com. I have added gift-center-online to my blacklist both on IDC *and* Wordpress, and yet still the spammy trackbacks come in. Every single day.
Are trackbacks not filtered through the blacklist? Why does this one website keep slipping through?

Inappropriate?Sorry for the delay. At the moment trackbacks do not go through the blacklists. However they should run through akismet. We're looking to see if there's an issue.

Inappropriate?Just wanted to pipe in that this remains a chronic issue for me. Every day I get 5-10 spam trackbacks from the same couple of websites. 95% of the spam that comes in would be eliminated if trackbacks went through the blacklist.

Inappropriate?Ultimately, I made the difficult decision to just turn trackbacks & pingbacks off. 99% of them were spam, and it just wasn't worth it.
