How do I add Comment Count Dropdown Box & Link to a static html page (using generic install code)?
how do I use or call the Comment Count / Comment Link Text feature on a static html page (using the generic install code). Where the comments link text (i.e. Comments (3) ) is visible at the bottom of the post/page and when clicked a dropdown box with all comments appears. not using any blogging platforms or custom databases.

Inappropriate?Thanks for getting in contact. You can add this using our generic JavaScript snippet. You can access our generic JS snippet during the install process. There are two snippets of code that you need to install: the first is the actual comment section, and the second is the comment link. The comment link looks like this:
<script>
var idcomments_acct = 'cab10f2ca5c7a9d2a40c5560985c34e6';
var idcomments_post_id;
var idcomments_post_url;
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.intensedebate.com/js/genericLinkWrapperV2.js"></script>
If you haven't created an account yet then please visit http://intensedebate.com/install and select Generic JavaScript during the install process.
If you have already created an account and installed IntenseDebate please login to your account at http://intensedebate.com/logmein, and select the tab named after your blog followed by the Blog Tools tab. Select the Reinstall option located on the left. You will be able to access both the code for the comment system as well as the code for the comment link.
Let me know if you have any questions. (If you do please let me know the URL of your site).
Cheers,
Michael
