How do I automatically close commenting on articles older than X days?
I cannot find a setting or a plugin anywhere (I set it to 14 days in WP-core, but it had no effect). I'm getting spammed to hell and have hundreds of old articles that aren't being commented on anyways.

Inappropriate?Hi Dean,
We actually don't currently have a setting to auto-disable commenting on old posts, but you can definitely disable commenting on each post within WP and that option should sync back to ID.
We're going to add support for a global setting, but it's not available just yet.
If the spam is similar in some way, you could try setting some moderation/blacklist strings (or IPs or Email addresses) to prevent them from getting through to your comments.
Hope that helps,

Inappropriate?Hmmm that's too bad... we have hundreds of posts and it would take an hour to do. The spam seems pretty random.

Inappropriate?Yes please add this option of disabling posts after "x" days, this helped me with not having to deal with SPAM on old posts. We have well over a thousand posts on our site. I really dont want to have to close off comments on all the posts. Would be horrible.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? We've added this to our list of features to look at implementing, thanks for the suggestion/push in the right direction ;)
