How do I bulk delete spam comments?
How do you bulk delete Spam comments?
I want to delete spam comments all at once in ID, and then have them get deleted on ID and then deleted from WP.

It sounds like you're wanting to delete comments that you've already marked as spam, using the interface on intensedebate.com. Is that correct? If that's the case then unfortunately there is no way to do this currently, but we're upgrading all of our moderation tools soon and that is part of that upgrade.
You should be able to do a somewhat bulk moderation within WordPress if you're using the IntenseDebate Comment Moderation panel, where you can at least delete them one page at a time. Click the link at the top of that page to only show "Spam" comments, then click the checkbox that's in the header of the table to select all comments on that page. You can then change the drop-down box to say "Delete" and click "Apply" to delete all of those comments.
Hope that answers your question, if not then please feel free to clarify and I'll see if I can give you a better answer :)

Inappropriate?Well since there are 800+ comments marked "spam", it would take me nearly an hour to delete them all using the method you describe.
The real issue is a combination of spam getting into the WP database and my understanding of what happens to the spam.
For example, the spam coming through (and being marked as spam) is stuff that should be deleted as per my spam settings in ID.
But that spam is getting through to my WP database. Like I said, I had 800+ last night, all of which was from a single hour last night.
This morning I looked and there were only 20 or so spam comments.
What happened to the 800+? Am I misunderstanding the spam system?
Does spam get marked as spam (correctly) and get pushed to the databases (WP and ID) but then routinely get cleaned out (deleted)?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? To answer your question from the other post, I now have 1200+ spam comments showing in WP admin panel.
So one day, 800+, next day 0, next day 1200+. ??
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? It's possible that spammers are attacking your blog directly, which involves them setting up an automated script to post comments directly into your blog by simulating someone submitting a comment via your WordPress comment form/template.
If that is in fact what's happening, then all spam defense will initially be up to your WordPress install, so you'd want to make sure you had something like Akismet installed and running to prevent those comments from appearing in WP and being approved by default.
From there, those comments would be synced over to ID, where because it's coming in via a sync (and not directly from a user), it bypasses our spam filters.
Perhaps try turning on the option (on your Settings page on IntenseDebate.com) to "Run WordPress comments through IntenseDebate spam filters". That should run those comments through all spam filters as well, which might help prevent what's happening.
Please let me know if that helps. -
Inappropriate?I do have that setting checked.
So let me ask this, how long do spam comments get kept by ID, and when they are deleted, does that sync with WP so that they are deleted on my WP DB? If that's the case, then what is the number of spam comments that collect before deletion?
