I can't approve a comment from either Wordpress or Intense Debate
I am using the WP plugin and am having the following (possibly) interrelated problems. Firstly, If I approve a comment from the WP dashboard it shows as 'approved' but isn't really. When I then go into either the 'Comments' section in WP, or ID itself, the comment is still awaiting moderation. Now I have a new comment that I can't even approve from the WP comments section or ID - every time I choose approve in either system, nothing changes - the comment remains unnaproved.

Inappropriate?Looks like you fixed it. I was just playing with some settings - decided to turn off the option that requires a commenter to have a previously approved post to avoid moderation, went back, clicked on approve for the comment for the 20th time and it worked! So, don't know if it was me changing the setting or something you guys did but anyway, nice one!
Could I ask the following question then: Does moderation directly from the WP dashboard (rather than the enhanced moderation page) work? My experience so for suggests it doesn't. Thanks

Inappropriate?Still not working great. I had a comment come in earlier and firstly, got no email notification. I then marked it as spam from the wp dashboard. When I go into 'Comments' it correctly displays under the 'Spam' section - however, when I go back to the dashboard, it reappears and I can mark it as 'spam' again. In the ID system, it isn't anywhere to be seen.

Inappropriate?Jonathan, I apologize for the major delay - somehow this slipped through.
You should be able to moderate directly from WordPress moderation. The fact that you can't suggests that there is a syncing issue. We have a plugin that will wipe your settings so that you can start over - that generally takes care of it.

Please use these instructions:
1. Uninstall and remove the IntenseDebate plugin
2. Install, activate the clearID.php plugin
3. Uninstall it.
4. Install the latest version (v2.1.1) of the plugin and activate it.
You can download the latest version in your WP plugins page or at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/i... . Please let me know how it goes.
We have done some testing for our email deliverability and have found no issues. Which mail client are you using?

Inappropriate?No worries.
It's a wierd one this - basically it's 2 spammy comments that Intense debate correctly picked up as spam (perhaps that's why there was no email) but they still appear in the WP dashboard and it doesn't matter what I do with them, they won't go away.

Inappropriate?I am unable to approve or delete comments in Intense Debate moderation. I tried instead to approve two recent comments in my Wordpress dashboard -- it shows that they've been approved, but these comments do not show in the posts.
I tried the "Reset Intense Debate Plugin" but that did not help. In fact, now some much older comments are showing up in the "to be moderated" section. Between this problem and not being able to use comment threading if I login as the admin, I'm completely fed up. If I can figure out how to go back to my old comment system without losing comments, I'll do it immediately.

Sorry for the frustration. I reset your import to correct the issue with your previous comments. What happens when you try to approve or delete comments in your ID account? Please be as specific as possible. Thanks for your patience. -
When I try to approve or delete comments, absolutely nothing happens -- the comments remain waiting for moderation and they do not appear on the site. I've given up and simply gone in and changed all my Intense Debate settings so that WordPress handles all the comments.

Oh, and WordPress comments display trackbacks -- my trackbacks never displayed using Intense Debate. I'd like to uninstall Intense Debate, but I don't want to chance losing comments. Perhaps I don't need to uninstall -- if I deactivate the plugin, will that amount to the same thing?

What happens when you try to approve them? Can you try approving them via email? You can do this by responding the new comment email notification with Approve!END . Please let me know how it goes.

When I approve them by the WP dashboard, they seem to be approved, but in fact, they aren't. And when I aprrove them by ID site, I click "Mark all as approved" -> "Apply changes", and the page refreshes the same way, with all the comments to be moderated. I've just followed the stpes ypu said above, and the comments are in upload now. Hope this solves the problem. Thanks.

Inappropriate?I am having the exact same issue. They say approved on dashboard in WP, but don't show in blog. Tried using Intense Debate dashboard and they just sit there... I receive notification in my google email, but unable to make them appear on my blog.

When you try to approve in your WordPress admin panel, are you using the IntenseDebate enhanced moderation page or are you using the standard WP moderation page?

Inappropriate?I found fix, but its not a permanent one.
Edit the comment in question, then select "Approved" from the status menu.. and its approved> Obviously its not a final solution, but its a temporary one
