ID Just stopped synching ... what happened?
I just updated the plugin and right before that the comments aren't synching like they should. This post ( http://randythomas.org/2008/12/30/dis... ) says it has six comments but only two show up even though the comments appear here, in my wp admin panel and on the widget.
I’m tired ... it's too late at night for this.

Inappropriate?On my end I see 5 IntenseDebate comments and 4 on the Wordpress end (turning off javascript shows these 4). So clearly there was a problem in syncing that fifth comment:
I still don't particularly like ID, nor do I like the fact that (after a month) they still haven't figured out how to set up a way to claim comments! But I'll try for you, Randy :::pouty lips:::)
We'll take a look at this for you and get a fix asap

Hi Austin. Thank you for jumping right on this. Right now the comments are showing up on the blog. I had an issue of it not allowing me to post a reply directly to a comment but I reloaded my browser page several times and it gave me the option again. If you read the comments on that post ... it might as well be a thread in here :-).
Again, thank you for your help. I am going to bed no matter what the thing does at this point. However, keep in mind that a young fiery red head in Los Angeles wasn't too happy with the hiccups. :) -
I've put Jon who does most of the Wordpress plugin development on this case to see what exactly caused the hiccup.
As for the reply issue, was the reply button grayed out, not there at all, or just not doing anything when you clicked it?

It just wouldn't do anything. I also noticed my admin option to block IP or delete the comment wasn't thee even though it showed me logged in at the top of the thread. I logged out and back in and it worked. Thanks for both yours and Jon's help.

I haven't heard anything from John and I just noticed that the latest comments aren't synching. They show up on the site but not in the background.

Inappropriate?OK... now the duplicate comments are back ... comments are not syncing ... I am now at the place I was when I dropped ID a month ago. I try not to get ticked but ... we are close.
Please fix this quickly. I am leaving the duplicate comments on the thread so you can see them.

Have you updated your plugin in the past few hours? Just wondering to see if the dupes were caused by a bug in importing or syncing.

I updated the plugin late last night. I reset the plugin only after seeing the duplicates. I think it is syncing now but the duplicate comments are still on the blog when it loads. I just left a comment and saw that my old comment automatically loaded into the text field. In my laymen's opinion I think it's a javascript or cookie or both problem.
And I also discovered that when I click on the "jump too" link it won't let me post direct replies to comments (click the post reply button and nothing happens.) However, if I click on the title within the widget or the permalink on my blog ... it does.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the extra specifics, that helps a lot. As for the duplicates, I think it might have synced with Wordpress and for some reason re-synced back to IntenseDebate.
Jon is still assigned to this case (since it deals with Wordpress syncing which I don't know much about), but he's on holiday today and tomorrow.
As for the comment left in the text field, that's just our save comment feature, so don't worry about that :)
