Hi Michael. I apologize for the major delay. Somehow this slipped through.
Can you please email me with your URL and any specific links to where this is occurring? We will take a look and see what's going on.
On a separate note, I'd like to request that you please email support@intensedebate.com for all future issues. Emailing support ensures that the issue is logged in our tracking system which is a critical limitation of Get Satisfaction since we're unable to use it with our tracking system.
We will be moving away from providing future support in Get Satisfaction. However until that happens please only email us at support@intensedebate.com.
Thank you,
Michael

Inappropriate?John, thanks for getting in contact. Could you please reactivate the plugin so that we can take a look? What web browser are you using and what's the URL of your blog?
Thanks,
Michael
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I have reactivated it and seems to be running fine now, but still says transferring data from intensedebate.com . My website might of taken a hit this morning. I was the first one to report to tech crunch about the twitter hack today.

Also just install ID this morn.

Inappropriate?Hi Michael, everything has been running smoothly... thx

Glad to hear it! -
Inappropriate?Guys, Intense Debate was really slowing my site down tonight.
When trying to update new posts (via Wordpress administration backend) kept getting "waiting for www.intensedebate.com".
When trying to post stuff (I post like 20 story posts every night, go back and edit them several times) things took forever to load or just wouldn't load at times. (After a refresh or two it was ok, but then it slowed again and again and again..repeat process)
A couple weeks ago I had an issue where one morning my site just didn't load, period... and I simply could not get into the backend because intensedebate was not loading (had to be a server issue on your end as your main site was down too).
Is there a way for you to change your plugin to allow us to load our site and the Wordpress Administration backend when your servers are slow?
Love you guys, but an IntenseDebate server slowdown should really never prevent us from doing administration stuff, like editing and posting stories...this really should never be an issue with a commenting plugin/software.
Maybe something you can write into the Wordpress plugin that safeguards us in case IntenseDebate servers are slow, not working, etc?
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?I have this happening today as well. Not only is the admin part slow, but the actual comments system takes forever to load for any web visitors. This gets noticed.
-
Inappropriate?I had to stop using ID because some times my pages would not load and I wanted Facebook Connect
-
Inappropriate?I'm using ID for almost 2 days now and in general I think its performance could be much better. It was actually better when I used WordPress' default commenting system, which is weird, as I throught my server load would go down as I migrated to ID.
-
Inappropriate?lol seriously , if you want to kill your load time then use intense debate , it's frustrating why can't this load up faster?
I'm starting to look at alternatives to commenting such as disqus , I checked out load times analysis by looking at wp-tuner and it's saying intense debate is just dead weight holding the site back.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I'm having this trouble now, and lifechurch.tv's Internet Campus blog seems to be having this trouble as well.

I updated it, and the site's still slow, but when I deactivate it, things speed back up - I've temporarily disabled it. -
Inappropriate?Yes... even I have this problem. My site's load time has increased to almost thrice than when I was not using ID. I just cant deactivate ID now, becoz I have hundreds of comments on my blog and I dont wanna lose them.
Any suggestion to my problem???
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?Yea, i got in on the intense debate plugin before it went public and have been using it on my site since then, but Im seriously thinking about removing it now because it never reports the correct amount of comments to be moderated, and when i click to moderate it doesnt give me an status that it is doing anything, and then Poof! 20-60seconds later something happens finally. This is unacceptable....
I’m sad
