IntenseDebate comments not showing on WordPress Comment Widget / Recent Comments
Hi there. I've installed IntenseDebate successfully on my blog http://greywardens.com a few days ago. Everything was working fine. But somehow today the last comment widget on the frontpage does not show the latest comments any more. Please help.

Inappropriate?I don't know if this is related, but I'm seeing some serious lag in comment counts being updated too. Right now as one example an article I posted earlier today has 169 comments but it only shows 64 on the main page. That has been inching upwards over the hours but is way behind obviously. -
Inappropriate?yes, I'm also experiencing massive lag in the comment system. Comments which were made hours ago do show up just now. Any help or comment on this by the devs would be very appreciated. thank you.

Inappropriate?@GreyWardensCom: It looks like comments are not syncing back into your WordPress install for some reason, so you're not seeing them show up in that widget, since it loads its data direct from your local WP database.
Do you by any chance have a firewall or something that would prevent comments from syncing back to your server? I've also started a "repair" process we have on our end to try to sync the (2) missing comments that it detected over to your site, so hopefully that will help.
@pastapadre: what is your site? I'll take a look and see if I can see any reason why it would be taking so long. Also, if you make sure all of your links are using standard WordPress comment API functions (in your theme) then they should be overridden correctly by the ID plugin (assuming this is WordPress?) and updated with the current/correct number from ID. -
Inappropriate?@Beau Lebens: thank you very much for your quick reply. no, i have no firewall installed that could prevent syncing. As I said, I have installed ID some days ago and everything was working and synching fine. The issues started today. Seems to be some kind of lag though. And I havent changed or installed anything new on my blog that could have caused the issue.

Inappropriate?I've had no issues like this over the last few months, no changes made to the site today either so don't see why it would've started. Here are the articles posted today where it became noticeable.

Inappropriate?I've just about given up on the Wordpess plugin. I think the problem may be that I'm running Wordpress Mu. At any rate, it worked for a while, but frequently it takes hours to sync between the two and sometimes it never does. Today, I wrote a lengthy somewhat time-sensitive comment on my blackberry in response to an ID notification email. In the past, this would approve the comment and post the reply. Today, it did neither. When I finally got back to my PC, I had to manually approve it via Wordpress.
I think there's some chance that I'm doing something wrong or it's a Mu issue, but I'm pretty determined to work something out cause I love Intense Debate and would love to use it on my other WPMU sites... -
Inappropriate?surprisingly, the exact opposite happens now. the "last comment" widget shows a new comment, but the post still does not show the comment and it says "no comments" ... very strange .. please devs, help us here

Inappropriate?Everyone: Our sync queue was backed up, but we've accelerated it and got it cleared, so all of your comments should be synced now. If not, please let us know.
@pasta: Looks like you have lots of comments on those posts now, but I don't know if your numbers match up (or are any closer). Please let me know if not.
@GreyWardens: I think your comment syncing is all caught up as well, but please let me know of specific URLs if you have issues still.
@Daily: ID should work on WPMU (and we have some big users using it there), so I don't know specifically why you're having troubles. What version of WPMU are you using? When you say you wrote a reply on your Blackberry, does that mean you posted it on your site via the BB browser? or you replied to the email notification directly?

The "Last Comment" widget is saying "Tom" has the last comment but the article here http://ow.ly/tE7Z has the last comment by a user named Tsarg.
Please let me know if you find out something.

Inappropriate?This bug persists. An Offbeat Mama post that was deleted 3 weeks ago ("Pre-soft launch feedback (57 comments)") continues to show up at the top of the Most Popular Posts widget.

Inappropriate?Any progress on this bug? I have a month old, deleted post still displaying as my Most Popular Post in the IDC widget on offbeatmama.com. I tried doing a clean import via my IDC admin page in wordpress, and it didn't appear to make a difference.

Inappropriate?I am having the same problem - the recent comments widget is not showing any comments even though there are comments on my posts. Is there any resolve to this problem? I have tried reseting the intensedebate plugin as per the link on the settings page but it has not helped. This has been ongoing for the last couple of days.

Inappropriate?I seem to be having this problem as well only with certain posts where certain comments are posted and show in recent comments widget but not in actual comments section for everyone to see, however if I'm logged in as admin I can see it but the number of comments don't appear and it says no comments have yet been posted. Very weird. This has been a problem now for quite some time, any resolve to this? You can see what I mean by going to soulfulbeauty.com main page shows recent comments widget last comment points to post where comment does not appear.
