Inappropriate?IntenseDebate had some stability issues in the past, but now seems solid.
This question won't be so tough after they release the new WordPress plugin that will keep internal WordPress comments database in-sync (like Disqus does).
And is coming soon!
In fact I am waiting invitation code to revert a Disqus-driven blog to ID one!
Now, if they release an API like Disqus did, oh boy, Disqus is doomed!
I’m amused

We have IntenseDebate installed on natasha.saxberg.dk but it doesn't seem to sync comments. -
Jacob - Are you part of the new WordPress-plugin testing group? I don't think the old one fully synchs comments. That functionality is part of the new test plugin that will hopefully be released publicly sometime soon.
You can find more about that here: http://blog.intensedebate.com/2008/08... -
@Jacob: The current (public) WordPress-plugin does not keep comments synced with internal WP database. The new plugin that is currently under test and given to the closed-beta testing group, hopefully does that.
I am not sure how the transition from old to new plug in will be, but worst-case scenario, IntenseDebate has a function to let you re-import all comments back to WordPress (although the one time I needed it, resulted in duplicate comments with the e-mail field missing). -
cool. Looking forward to that. Thanks for making blog debate more convenient. -
So Jacob, I guess you're waiting invitation code like the rest of us? -
no we have it running at natasha.saxberg.dk but I'm always anxious about new gadgets :) -
They didn't gave you a private closed-beta WordPress plug-in (that is "for your eyes only") that keeps comments synced with WP's internal database then? -
Inappropriate?Tried both systems - and IntenseDebate is by far my favorite. Feature-rich, easy to moderate, and simple integration. No page-loading/template problems like with Disqus.
