We're currently working on a way for the blog admin to set the default for the sorting. Right now, however, the only way to sort the comments is to do it manually through the comment system - each time you visit the page.
We understand that this is urgent and we're doing our best for it to happen sooner rather than later.

Inappropriate?I'd love to be able to change the default sorting when I view old comments on ID, as well.
