Must login to ID to manage comments
I have to log in to ID to view or moderate comments.
Site: www.ipandora.net
Steps to recreate:
Go to my Admin page, click Comments link, then I get comments page with iframe loading the ID admin panel, however, first it loads the ID login page.
Browser is FF, Chrome, IE, Safari, and Opera.
FF does not disable 3rd party cookies and there is not an option in browser preferences to change this. I checked browser advanced config to confirm this is not browser issue.
Firewalls are disabled on the computer.
I get the same problem on 3 computers at my house and on computers at work as well.

Inappropriate?Sorry for the delay. If you go to the plugin settings page in your WP panel, are you logged in? If you aren't please login in there and let me know if you stay logged in.
If not, are you running WP SuperCache? If you are that is likely causing the issue. If WP SuperCache is misconfigured then it will prevent our servers from connecting properly. Please deactivate SuperCache and then install ID and configure your account.
Thanks for your patience,
Michael -
Inappropriate?I don't use WP Cache.
I was already connected ("logged in") in the ID plugin, but I logged in again, just in case.
Same issue.
Clicking on "Comments" opens an iframe requesting I log into ID to manage comments.

Inappropriate?Firefox does/can disable third party cookies actually, the option is Preferences > Privacy > Accept cookies from sites (check) > Accept third party cookies (check).
It might also be worth clearing your cookies completely and then restarting Firefox and trying this again. It's possible that you have a corrupted/partial cookie of some sort I guess. To try this, open Tools > Clear Recent History...
Then select "Everything" in the top box, and uncheck everything except "Cookies" in the list. Click "Clear Now" and it will remove all of the cookies in your browser (which means you'll need to log into anything that uses cookies next time you use it).
Hopefully that will clear anything strange that's going on. -
Inappropriate?Beau, you're not reading my problem. I've tried this on three computers at home and two computers at my office.
I've used Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, and IE8 and IE7 as well as the latest version of Firefox in Windows which does NOT have the options you've mentioned. It may have those options in Apple or Linux, but Windows versions are first) found under Options, not Preferences, and second) only have History and Location bar settings under privacy.
So no Beau, the issue is NOT NOT NOT with Firefox.
So I don't want to hear anything further about how you hope this Firefox fix will clear up my problem.
Hope is what people had for President Obama, and look where that's got us today. (low blow intended completely).
So the question occurs to me "does Beau even have an idea what may be causing this problem?"
If he doesn't, then I'm sorry to say I'll become quite the Disqus apologist.

Inappropriate?Hi Matthew,
Sorry for the frustration. We believe the issue appears to be a configuration error. Can you please try linking your user accounts (WP and ID)? You can do this in your WordPress account: select your profile and scroll to the bottom > there's a place to enter your IntenseDebate login credentials, and save your settings.
If this doesn't solve the problem then there is likely some unique cross domain cookie issue that we haven't encountered before.
We are happy to provide support and help solve issues that you encounter. Sometimes understanding and recreating the issue is challenging, especially when we're unable to experience it first hand. Please remember that we are actual people trying to help.
Thanks,
Michael

Inappropriate?I understand there are indeed people assisting and trying very hard to fix things. The place I take issue is the assumption that this is a user issue without acceptance, based on the description provided, that it may indicate something deeper.
If you look back, Michael, to your initial response to my issue you requested I log in (connect) my WP and ID logins by logging into ID in my user profile, and you'll see in my response that I was already logged in/connected and that just to check I disconnected/logged out and the reconnected/logged in again just to be sure.
The issue is continuing.
