My category fields are disappearing
On my Socialmedia.biz blog, I'm no longer able to create new categories. Whenever I click into the category field in my WordPress dashboard, the field disappears! Then I try the next field on the "Add a new categoy" page and the same thing happens!
This doesn't happen on my other WP blogs, which are also WP 2.8.
How can I fix this without uninstalling Intense Debate? thanks!!

Inappropriate? What's your URL? We'll take a look and see what's going on.
Thanks for your patience,

Inappropriate?Hi JD - do you perhaps have some other plugins installed in WP that are interfering with things? I've just done a test here on a WP 2.8 blog with the latest version of ID installed and don't have any problems with adding/removing Categories either from the "Edit Post" page or from the "Add New Category" page.
It might also help to clear out your browser's cache (http://support.wordpress.com/browser-...) to make sure that you don't have some mangled Javascript or something loading perhaps.
What browser are you using? I checked in Firefox 3 and Safari 4, both on a Mac and it looks OK.
If I'm missing something here then if you could send me a screenshot of exactly where you're seeing this weirdness that might help, thanks.
Please let me know,
Beau -
Inappropriate? You can't see the problem on the public site, just my dashboard, so I created this 15-second screencast:
http://www.socialbrite.org/wp-content...
It shows that when I'm on the create new category page and click on the fields, they disappear.
I’m hoping for a solution

Inappropriate? This happens on my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro using both Firefox & Safari ... and this happens on a PC, too -- my developer in Buenos Aires has the same experience on my site.
It doesn't happen on my other two WP sites (one of which uses ID), so there's some incompatability somewhere. -
Inappropriate? That is really bizarre JD, I'm not seeing that happen at all!
Do you by any chance use Firebug to be able to see if you're getting any Javascript errors from the page?
Or do you think you'd be able to send me a list of the plugins you're using? If you don't want to post it here you can send to support@intensedebate.com and I'll get it as well.
It looks like you're using a custom admin theme of some sort as well, perhaps that's related? -
I'll send an email to support. thanks.
