Significant problems with IntenseDebate Comment Statistics & Importing
First, the good things:
I have recently installed IntenseDebate on my Blogger, http://zamolxis.name. I was pleasantly surprised with the installation process and the commenting system is a MAJOR improvement over the original Blogger commenting system (which is most likely the worst in the industry). I immediately noticed a number of problems. I thought they were all related, but as it turned out, and as the CSR who answered my complaint correctly pointed out, I was not getting emails because of an error in the address. Despite the problems below, IntenseDebate has a pretty good Tech Support, at a time when other corporations outsouce it to drones whose accent is incomprehensible. They also deserve credit for maintaining support on a service offered free of charge, at a time when most likely their priority is integration with Wordpress.com. So despite these problems, I am very happy they exist and they didn't cut support for Blogger.
The problems:
1. Importing comments crashed. - it's a beta service, so I did not expect much
2. Every single widget has an IntenseDebate linkback. This give the service a "spammy" appearance, particularly since some small widgets are next to each other.
3. Comment count was inaccurate to start with - 800
4. Last comments widget reports date of comment inaccurately - for instance, for comments that happened minutes ago they are shown as 1 or 2 weeks ago.
5. Comment count increases nonlinearly - about 24 comments and 7 commenters later, it reads 848 by 14 readers (2X?)
6. Top articles by comments displays the articles even with most comments, but it shows them with 0 or 1 comment.
What worries me the most is that the comment database may be so corrupt, that even exporting comments may not work later on, meaning that they'll be lost forever.

Inappropriate?Apparently there were some bugs with the blogger importer so perhaps this is why your database seems corrupt? I'm positive the guys can restore it to working order however as they can clear everything imported and leave only normal ones

Inappropriate? The comment count seems fine now. There is still a problem with brand new comments being listed as "2 weeks old" in the Last Comments widget; the imported comment count remains inaccurate and imported comments are not displayed at all.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I noticed you got around to post a test message a couple of days ago. Do you have an ETA?
Also, I changed my template and another and a new problem appeared. Although modyfing the new template to use Intense Debate worked, the front page only displays the word "Comments" without any number or customization. I will be emailing the template to you, but I also noticed that this seems to be a rather common problem without a solution:

I'm quite concerned that these problems are not solvable, seeing that none of these people is using IntenseDebate anymore..
I’m frustrated
