Spam/Mod Comments not Synching
Comments for moderation show up in Wordpress, not showing in Intense Debate. When I go into the wordpress administration side of things of wordpress 2.7.1, it shows 1 Spam comment. When I go to my comments page or even to my intensedebate.com dashboard, I cannot see that comment...it's not there.

Inappropriate? What's your URL? I'll check our database to see what's up.
Thanks,

Something I've noticed is that people are able to leave wordpress comments and this shows up in wordpress...but not in intensedebate. Perhaps there is a setting that didn't tic over during the plugin install?
-
Inappropriate?Still no go on this...today I had 27 spam in wordpress and 0 in Intense Debate.
I’m starting to become really frustrated...enough to dump Intense Debate
-
Inappropriate?I had the same issue, 3 comments show unmoderated and opening comments box goes to intensedebate management, does not show the unmoderated comments.
I removed intensedebate and saw the comments were there, possibly some bot accessed the default wp comment system is my only guess as the comments were all spam.
I checked out disqus in the meantime and just finished switching back to intensedebate because of the superior management and better integration with this system.
But a solution to the hidden unmoderated comments would be greatly appreciated. -
We are working on a solution for this. Currently we're working on version 2.0.19 of the plugin which will address this issue in particular. There will also be a new and improved moderation page with some cool additions that will make it easier to manage. No ETA on when this will be done just yet, but it's going to rock.
I apologize for the inconvenience - we will get this fixed. -
2.0.19? Oh man am I pumped!!! -
Inappropriate?Well, I'm going to have to move back to Wordpress comments...I can't have something like this with comments...it's ridiculous.
I’m pissed off that no one responded
-
Sorry for the delay. For some reason I didn't receive an email notification that you responded. I'm going to resync your account. That will not correct the current discrepancy but it should prevent it from occurring in the future. If it doesn't then there is most likely a configuration issue and we'll have to explore some other possible solutions.
I checked out your moderation page at IntenseDebate.com and there are a number of comments in the spam folder (as well as trackbacks and comments folder). How many are there in your WP panel?
Again, my apologies for the delay.

Inappropriate?21 comments in my wp comments...367 in my Intense Debate spam classification of spam.
-
Inappropriate?I'm having a similar issue. When I (or Intense Debate) mark things as spam from within my Dashboard, this change doesn't get synced on over to Wordpress, and thus remains in my pending bucket.

Inappropriate?I had to dump intensedebate. This problem didn't fix with the last few updates. It's plain to see that this problem isn't priority by lack of attention.
I’m over intensedebate

Inappropriate?Sorry for the delay. We recently released a new version of the plugin, v2.1.1. Please give this a try. We've cleaned up a lot of the code and have improved the syncing issues. We've got more improvements on the way as well.
You can download the latest version in your WP plugins page or at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/i... . Please let me know how it goes.
Please rest assured that this is a high priority. Thanks for your patience.

Inappropriate? The only things that Intense Debate provided that I wanted was the ability for users to have an email back when someone responded to their comment without the need of registering an account. I sacrificed keeping the comments of my private posts hidden from the net because your Plugin couldn't tell the difference. It was a small price to pay to get something to workout of the box, just as long as my site got to retain any comments added to it (why I migrate from LiveJournal to a personal copy of Wordpress in the first place).
Sadly the flakyness of sync is more then enough to migrate away from this solution. I've since then found a simple plugin that'll do the subscribe to comment reposes over email and am happy that it no longer relies on a third party service for such things.
Your product's end goal is neat but totally not ready for my sort of needs and priorities. -
Inappropriate?Been using the new version for a while now.
Issues have been resolved.
Service may be slow, but the product is top of it's class.
I’m satisfied
-
Inappropriate?I'm giving Intense Debate another go on another one of my blogs...we'll see how the new version stacks up! I haven't noticed this problem thus far in the new version.
I’m thankful
