Spam no longer blocked by IntenseDebate

It is on http://www.arcanology.com. They are different ip addresses. It is standard BS spam that Akismet and your filters should be blocking.

The only reason my blog isn't overwhelmed is that I moderated unapproved commenters.

I've removed IntenseDebate from my blog (and blog posted about doing so).

Too much of an alpha product and it isn't ready for prime time.

In my observation the spam control has gotten worse lately not better. Even the configuration to delete posts with certain words doesn't work. How is it possible for a spam filter to miss this?

This product doesn't work as advertised. Comment blacklisting by word is not working, I am currently looking for alternatives to IntenseDebate because it cannot filter spam.

I'm getting spam that doesn't show up in the comment moderation panel so I actually have to go into the database, locate the spam and delete them one by one.

I'm also getting a lot of spam on my blog lately. The URL is http://paratyemfoco.com/blog, and I'm getting lots of comments with russian domain e-mails, most of them with no text. My IntenseDebate ID is 'garapa'.

We are having same problem with SPAM. Need to manually go and tag obvious spam in WordPress.

Very time consuming. Not sure why. Askimet catches everything.

it doesn't block russian spam. I have tens of russian comments to moderate every day. it's annoying, and making me consider switching back to plain wordpress comments / akismet too.

I have the opposite problem. Everything is requesting moderation, EVERYTHING. Normal posts from people who have posted a ton now request moderation, why!?

I also just removed IntenseDebate. The spam problem is too big. The Akismet filter doesn't seem to work...

The spam problem made me remove IntenseDebate. I was getting 200 spam messages daily. I too had the moderation on and so these messages did not hit the site.

Within the last 2 weeks I as well am getting hit hard by spam that should not be getting through. In my settings i have "2" or more links go to moderation and i have comments from spammers containing 6 links or more. They are coming from multiple IPs.
My settings are pretty straigh fwd otherwise, including askimet and ID Spam filters checked off.
For some reason i now cant even moderate them directly from the posts. The "delete" or Block IP" is missing as well.
Please check up on this for all of us here on this thread.

I had the same problem, thought it was just me. ID was working perfectly fine and then all of a sudden after one of the recent WP Upgrades, ID stopped deleting Spam. It was held in the moderation Que and I was getting hit with 90 - 200 messages a day that I had to manually delete. Google delisted us because it's crawler found the Spam in our box! I deactivated ID today because of this and because it was slowing our site down to a crawl.
