Wordpress says 100% complete but does not import old comments
I just installed the Wordpress plugin for ID. Even though I have 10,000+ comments, it finishes in seconds, saying it is fully installed: however, none of my old comments are imported. I uninstalled and reinstalled but this did not help. What am I doing wrong?

Inappropriate? What's the URL? I'll reset your import.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Thanks. Yes, please reactivate it.
-
Inappropriate?i reactivated it, but this did not solve the problem.
-
Keep it activated please. I'm resetting your import. -
Please keep it activated and let the import run. Let me know how it goes! -
Inappropriate?I am having the same problem (on a self-hosted Wordpress blog). I had uninstalled IntenseDebate, installed & ran the clearID plugin - then uninstalled it and re-installed IntenseDebate (as per the instructions provided). It seemed to work fine -- very quickly, and said all was imported. But my old comments are not showing (though I didn't have all that many I would like them to show).
The url is http://mooseandsquirrel.ca/ -- IntenseDebate is currently activated and I will leave it activated for now. -
Hi Sheila. Thanks for leaving ID enabled. We just released a new version of the plugin yesterday (v 2.1). If you haven't upgraded please give that a try. You should have an upgrade alert in your plugins directory. If you don't you can download it here. Please let me know. -
Inappropriate? This did not seem to help my problem.
When I go to the control panel for ID, it already says that the import is complete, though there are no comments that have been imported.
How should I start the Import process and let it run? -
Hello, I could not get this to work, and I've been at it for hours.
However, please do inform me when there is a fix to this bug, so I can try again.
Best,
Kaleb -
Kaleb, I'm having one of our engineers take a look at the import issue. If you can please keep the plugin activated. We'll get this figured out. What version of the plugin are you running? -
Inappropriate?same problem at filipinovoices.com, it says that it is complete and a success, but comments have not transferred to ID..
I’m very concerned
-
version 2.1 running on WP 2.7.1, the url is filipinovoices.com.
I uninstalled The ID Plugin, removed it totally, installed clearID, then uninstalled and removed ClearID.. then reinstalled ID...
the Problem persists.. we have around 24,000 comments, and the comments are still in wordpress, but does not show up in ID, nor on the front end of our blog.. -
Inappropriate?I'm have the same problem as well. None on my old comments are being imported into intensedebate. I still have the plugin on, but switched the settings to standard Wordpress links and comments until something can be figured out.
I’m blah.
-
Inappropriate?Hi everyone. Please let me know what version of the plugin you're running.
Thanks for your patience.

I've reset your import as well Teotonio, so hopefully you'll see some comments appear as they're imported. Please let us know if you're still having troubles, since it looks like you have the plugin disabled at the moment. -
Inappropriate?Hi everyone. I need some new info - please help me out.
Is this your first time installing IntenseDebate or are you upgrading from a previous version?
Please leave a comment below with your answer and your URL. I realize that some of you have already given me this info above - sorry for the frustration.
Thanks,
Michael

Great turnaround time on getting a fix done. Works great! -
Well, I've upgraded and notice no difference -- old comments still not appearing. URL -- http://mooseandsquirrel.ca/
Example this post: http://mooseandsquirrel.ca/2009/04/07...
I know there were a couple comments there but they aren't showing -
This fixes it, but I noticed that the imported comments don't appear in my comment history on ID. Is this normal? -
@Sheila, I just reset your import and it looks like it's imported your comments now (I see some on that link you sent). Can you please check and see if you've got them all imported now? Thanks! -
beaulebens -- thanks! Comments are all there now -- everything's great! Thanks, once again! -
The new upgrade was fine.. and it finally did start importing.. However, the import process always seems to come to an error at around 25-27% of the process and asks me to contact IntenseDebate and to restart the process.. I have done this 4 times now.. Our blog currently has 25k+ comments..
this is occurring at FilipinoVoices.com, our first install, but we upgraded to 2.1.1 just a few hours ago..
Please advise as to what to do next.. -
Inappropriate?I upgraded to version 2.1.1. but still don't have my old comments showing up. This page, for example, should have 4 comments.

John, I've reset your import, so please check in on it in a while to see how it's going and if it's imported everything properly. I see comments on that post, so that's a good sign! -
The comments are back. Thank you Beaulebens! I am impressed by the speed of Intense Debate's replies and will definitely recommend the plug-in! -
Inappropriate? Some old comments dont happear and i made a comment wich in a post and it happears in all the posts. :|
-
Inappropriate?Oops I just noticed that some comments were not imported. For example when you go to http://www.acommonfan.com, it says 1 comment for this post http://www.acommonfan.com/2009/04/17/... but then it isn't actually there. @beaulebens can you reset the import for both http://www.acommonfan.com and http://blog.workosaur.com.
-
Inappropriate?I upgraded and am still not seeing any of my old comments. Please help!

I’m confused

Fixed! Thanks Mike for your response. It appears that once you upgrade to the new version IntenseDebate needs to reset the import and then it works. -
Inappropriate?I am joining the list of users with lost comments. I've installed version 2.1.1 and my URL is http://www.theideasmithy.com. My old posts don't have comments but when I uninstall IntenseDebate, I can see them. Any solutions so far?
-
Inappropriate?I'm having this problem too at my blog www.streetcapitalist.com the ID plug in is still enabled. Only some of the comments have been synced. Is there anyway to get the comment importing restarted?
-
Inappropriate?I have recently moved from Blogger to Wordpress (http://cgblog.org). I'm using the 2.1.1 plugin on 2.7.1 and have also run into the problem of my comments not moving with me. I had well over 2k comments and only about 30 moved over... however I think those may have been my non-intensedebate ones. Any thoughts?

-
Inappropriate?My blog is at http://rahuljauhari.com
I reinstalled ID and have a problem.
All new comments are visible on the ID system, but are not syncing back to Wordpress.
I have the latest version of the plugin as well as Wordpress 2.8.
I have reinstalled ID twice over but it's not working.
I’m confused
