Why does Involver Youtube app for Pages pull info from personal profile and update personal profile?
Hi there,
Can someone please tell me why the youtube app for FB PAGES has a "Share with Friends" box when an FB Page can't have friends? AND if that FB Page is tied to a personal profile - EVEN THOUGH the FB Page is SUPPOSED to be a completely separate entity from the personal profile, all of the personal profile's friends show up in that "share with friends" box AND if I select some of them and share, the fact that I shared shows up in my personal profile?
How is someone supposed to manage Pages for a client lets say, or for more than one business, when FB keeps doing things that tie the supposedly business related page to the personal profile?
Help???
This situation of Pages and Profiles having stuff inexplicably and problematically shared and co-posted, etc, has been the bane of my existence since trying to get an FB page going.
How about when trying to add an application, a message comes up that says "to add applications you must complete your profle" and when i did that, my FB page went from being a stand alone business page to being a profile page WHICH A BUSINESS CAN'T HAVE according to FB?

Inappropriate? The "Share with Friends" is tied to the viewer of the Page, and not to the page itself or the page admininstrator. It is just a way for users to share things they see on pages with their friends. i.e. if I visit the US Weekly page, I can share an interesting story with any of my friends even though I am not associated with US Weekly.

OK. I understand that now. Thanks for explaining. Though from a facebook standpoint - why I'm presented with that when I'm in my own admin back-end makes no sense to me.
Care to venture any thoughts on the other, non-Involver specific issues in my post? -
Inappropriate?I am not 100% clear on some of the other stuff you are referring to. I haven't really seen much coupling betwen user profiles and fan pages. Perhaps you were getting a message that your personal profile had to be complete before you made a fan page because they don't want people who can't be validated creating business pages that might be fraudulent? That is just a guess as I am not 100% clear what you are referring to.
