'purpose' field??
Could you possibly add a field for purpose? The IRS requires that each entry have the purpose of the trip listed. Also, it would be great if you could export/sort/view by month or by year and if you could see the current total miles for the month/year. Thanks for the great app!!

Inappropriate?Ok, maybe I should clarify since there is already a purpose field. It needs to have a beginning and ending address AND a purpose field. Thus far I have been using the purpose field for the address. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for sharing that suggestion. I think down the road I'd love to add some options to let folks customize the interface, and add fields like that if they want, but we have no timeline for that yet.

Inappropriate?Well how about just adding the option to change 'Business' to 'SVC Calls' and possibly an option for 'Infrastructure'. -
Inappropriate?Well for now I have just been entering the address from and to like 'shop 2 123 street MyTown' in the purpose field and then I export the csv file and edit 'Business' to SVC Calls or Infrastructure at the end of the month. I can also then delete the other unneeded columns. This is a pretty good work-around for now.
Some more ideas: It would be great if the program had view options so that you could view the summary by month or by year and then export only that section. Also, an option to delete or clear all would be good. For now I just enter all my miles for the month and then export to file and then delete each entry one at a time and then start the new month. There were nearly 100 this last month so this is quite a pain.
Any interest in sharing this code so that we can update it or even use it without an Internet connection? I would really like the ability to store this on my iPod as an app. I am running Apache web server on my iPod so I could easily access the app through there using Safari. If it is Java based it should be convertible to a Jiggy app as well. I would be willing to donate. Thanks for your replies.
