Inappropriate?Hi Joe, thanks for your suggestion. We are working on the implementation of the partnership we closed with a mobile social network and we will make big steps in that directions. Hang in there! :)

Inappropriate? Are there news yet? Please consider a cross platform solution. Too often app developers come out with iPhone apps only, leaving the vast majority of mobile users disappointed.
-
Inappropriate? We have considered the cross platform solution in the form of a browser based application. A very early version of that is running on http://m.irlconnect.com/ and only supports the communication aspect of IRL Connect. This solution yields support for pretty much any mobile platform with a half-decent browser.
It is however optimized for the iPhone/iPod Touch browser and other fairly recent webkit-based browsers.
Support for more handsets is in the works. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Felix. I just tried the mobile site, but that is just for entering a status while there's no way to send the current location
-
Inappropriate? That is correct. We're looking into some of the new HTML5 features to support the W3C geo location specification on mobile devices. We support this partially on the desktop browser version through Google Gears / Mozilla Geode. We're not sure how this applies to the mobile browsers.
