Inappropriate?Hey Thor - I have a translation by A. Yusuf Ali that was made in the 1940s, by a Pakistani/Indian chap.
The edition I have provides a pretty good translation, but more importantly copious footnote and references.

Inappropriate?There isn't really a 'best' translation but are a few main ones. Some will be easier to understand than others depending on the reader and the part you're reading, point of view : ) etc.
