Crashing IE6!
I installed the SmartLook code today - and things started working OK... however, readers of my site who are using Internet Explorer 6 - are reporting that the browser crashes.
When I remove the SmartLook code -the site works fine.
Please advise!

Inappropriate?Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. We've tested Smartlook (beta) on a variety of browser incl. IE6 and haven't found any Smartlook related crashes.
Please post or email us a link to our site, so that we may test it out for ourselves. It would also be informative to know more about your visitors setup (especially the _full_ flash version and Operating system) if you can provide it.
Cheers

Inappropriate?Mike - thanks for the response. Since I removed the code - how can we go about testing this? Do you have people "on duty" after hours? I could probably re-load it.
After receiving dozens of emails - I tested it with a cross-platform website tester - and experienced the same "operation aborted" error message that users were complaining about in IE6.
How can I email you my site address?
I’m hopefully realistic

Inappropriate?Hmm, I'm having a problem using the code in IE6, as well. What was the solution, after all?
-
Inappropriate?Gordon - my problem was a simple oversight. When I realized the code worked on some pages, but not the home page of the site - I discovered that it was an open div tag... Make sure all your tags are closed.
I couldn't believe such a simple thing caused the problems. Whatever the case, it worked. -
Inappropriate?Well, I ́ve got the same problem with IE7...as soon as I embed the SmartLook code my site crashs...when I take it out again the site is o.k....
I ́m afraid I ́ve got to look for open tags as well or did anyone find another solution meanwhile....?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Just a general tip: For anyone having IE problems using Smart Look, please check http://ismartlook.com first. That page was made with the standard Smart Look feature. If that page works on your system, you must be doing something wrong embedding, or there is something on your website interfering with it.
I’m happy
