How long should I wait for Smart Look to convert the files?
okay, i've read through all the FAQs and answers. i checked my HTML code on the page that i want SmartLook to open PDF files that i uploaded. when i click on them, it does what it is suppose to normally, open the PDF file in my browser (Safari). i do as you recommend, download the PDF once. but after clearing my cache and checking it on other computers, the PDF doesn't seem to link with issuu.com. what am i doing wrong?

Wow, someone's in a hurry. Your documents have been converted, please take a look :)
You can log into My Library and view the conversion status there. Smart Look will not work until your publications have been converted.

Inappropriate?wasn't really sure what the process was, although it seemed relatively simple. the documents have been processed...and after clearing out my browsers cache and reloading the page, it still comes up with a typical PDF plug-in and not issuu presented view. i'll tried it on another computer and still seems to be the case.
or could it possibly be that i must wait longer.
i'm getting there...almost.

Inappropriate?Martin Dude! Though Issuu worked for William, after a while, you still did not answer the wuestion. "How long do you have to wait for converting a file?" A guide with approximate time/ depending on document type/ size would be great to have. Also, I have posted several files up, which the monitor tells me are "in que"... what if I want to cancel the process, or eliminate some of the files that I uploaded as part of a batfch. How do I stop it all... instead of waiting for documents to be out of cue.
Issuu uploaded multiple documents without a problem,- over an hour ago... and nothing has been finalized yet. Help! (yes, I know I am inpacient, but I am on a deadline, and it is your own fault that Issuu worked incredibly well and fast the first time I used it :) !

We try to give everyone the shortest conversion time possible. I know how frustrating it can be looking at that Queue label! But in reality it's like waiting in line at the super market: Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's not. But here's a tip: If you upload a single document (via normal upload) there's a chance that conversion will be faster. Try it next time you're on a deadline :) -

i find it varies, depending upon the time of the day or how busy issuu's servers are (assuming that its peak traffic). and although it worked for me after futile attempts to link up, i now understand that you need more patience than technology allows.
in fact, i changed the name on my issuu publication (after converting), it now seems as though i need to download the PDF on my website to 're-activate' it again? tell me i'm wrong, but the links are now, not working. i'll give it a shot later and see if its working.
and fourthscreen...i totally agree with you on how incredibly fast and well my first document was upload and working. does that mean i'm impatient as well? i suppose in this case, the answer is, yes.
