To many adds, distracting design
Chill out on the ads. Two ads per page is plenty. I think you're driving visitors away which in the long term will result in the death of your site. Try to keep the content the focus. I think you'd do well to nix the top banner ad on every page. Understanding that this will cost you something, I think it's worth it. You're compromising your design which is sad because IUT is a pretty neat idea.

Inappropriate?Hey Ed,
Without the ads, the site will surely die, it is the only way we have to cover the costs associated with running the site. The top-banner is integral to our income, and it is by far the placement that generates the most revenue for us.
We are looking into different ways of doing advertising though, and hopefully we'll work out a better way to display advertising that is more interesting to our users.
