Shared Sandy Last reply on May 09, 2008 00:57.
It would be nice if one Sandy could be used to assist several members of a household or group.
That would require adding several accounts to one Sandy instance, and having the member enabled to manage their communication profiles individually.

tracking packages Last reply on April 06, 2008 19:43.
I would LOVE it if I could email Sandy tracking numbers for UPS/Fedex/DHL and have Sandy let me know their status. That would be a killer feature.

Adding notes to an appointment, bookmark or todo Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:36.
I think that all remembered items should have a "details" sections. This would just be an editable text field. Currently, everything has to be crammed into the "name" of the item. (See this by using the website, click on any reminder and look at the "name" field.) By default, the "details" section would contain the same information that's in the "context" section now. The difference is that it would be editable.
I want to be able to add details to my items. For instance, there currently isn't a way to add driving directions or a list of items to bring to an appointment. I don't want to change the name of the appointment, I want the "meeting with Tony" to stay the same. (As a further idea, when an item is created or updated by email, maybe we could optionally specify the name of an item by using @name ?)
Lists already have a "details" section. Lists currently have a "name" and a separate text area for the elements in the list. This makes it easy to edit the items in the list (the "details") separately from the name of the list. Looking at the website, every list has a separate text area where the elements of the list can be edited. I'm suggesting that a text area like this be added to every item. The text are can be labeled "details".
Adding "details" to an appointment would blur the line between an appointment and a "note". It would give people the ability to add "notes" to an appointment, etc. I know in the past some people have suggested that we should be able to change the type of an item from "appointment" to "note". I think that was suggested because it wasn't possible to add notes to an appointment. I think adding "details" would solve the problem. It sure would help me out.

How does Sandy make it easier for me to schedule things on Google calendar? Last reply on May 17, 2008 15:29.
I saw this listed as a feature, but Google doesn't seem to recognize that replies contain appointments...how is it supposed to work?

Ability to add more than one secondary address Last reply on June 01, 2008 06:45.
I would like the ability to add more than one secondary address, so I can talk to Sandy via my personal, business, work, and SMS addresses.
I'd be willing to pay $20/year for this feature.

Can I change Sandy's "name?" Last reply on May 08, 2008 06:40.
Just found iwantsandy.com and I'm already infatuated, but I have one small issue: One of the coworkers who is often in my email chains is named "Sandy!"
I hate to have everyone on my team think I'm asking HER to remember stuff - can I change the name Sandy looks for in the "Sandy, remember to call Joe at 2:00pm tomorrow" tagline I'm now adding to emails?? How aoout"Jill," or "Jeeves," or maybe "Mr. McGoo?"

Remind about time A at time B Last reply on June 09, 2008 14:43.
I have a gig I need reminding about but being told about it 15 minutes before on the day won't help seeing as I could be up to an hour away from the venue at any given time. I want to be able to remind myself about the time of the gig but at a scepific time of the day i.e. I want the reminder at 9am but to remind myself the gig is at 7pm.The email I sent is "Remind me about GZA at KOKO on 09/12/07 at 7pm" and then the reminder is set to remind me at 6:45pm on that day. I have to manually change it as the time of the event start and the time of the reminder are two separate elements and I don't know how to email both at the same time.
Is it possible? How do I format the reminder?

Give completed items a done date Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:29.
At the end of the month, or the year, sometimes I can't remember when I did something. I had a task (a todo) that I finished, but I can't remember exactly when I did it. Sometimes this is important. When did I send the check, when did I paint the walls, when did I finish the work, etc.
The date of the task might not be the date that I finished it on. I have several overdue items in my todo list. Eventually I finish them and mark them as "done". I would like that the date you tag something as "done" automatically be recorded in a "date completed" field for that task. I know that you can sort items by "last updated", and this almost works, except that you have to be careful to not change anything on that task ever again. if you update an item that is already marked with "done", then you lose the date that the task was completed.

Could you add an @weeknights tag? Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:27.
An @weeknights tag would allow us to get an evening reminder before a normal working day, but would save us from being reminded on a Friday night, for example. I suggest that you add this tag to do exactly as @weekdays does, but from Sunday through to Thursday, rather than from Monday through to Friday. Or go why not whole hog and let us add special tags with our own time, reminder and other settings?

More than one secondary email address? Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:26.
Would it be possible to have a couple secondary email addresses? I use 2 "Normal" email addresses and my phone, so I have to pick whether I want to use my work email, or my cell phone.
Is there a practical reason for not doing this?

A Sandy API Last reply on May 01, 2008 15:18.
Any chance an API for Sandy will be available in the near future?
I see a lot of feature requests that could be solved by a third party via an API.

Will I be able to add Sandy to Google Talk anytime soon? Last reply on January 23, 2008 15:54.
I use google talk on my phone and my computer and the instant feedback of a sandy bot would be the closest thing to a real personal assistant that I could afford.
the logging features built in would make this nice too.

Lookup in Google Contacts? Last reply on April 21, 2008 14:57.
It would be great if I could have Sandy lookup in my google contacts. Now that Google has released an api (with readonly access, I think), I'd like to:
lookup John Dough @google
or
lookup google "john@dough.com"
I'd use this from my phone for info not important enough to store on the phone (rarely-used contacts) or that the phone doesn't store well (info in notes, or odd fields like "assistant's name").

How do I use relative dates, like "remind me to move my car the first wednesday every month?" Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:10.
I see monthly reminders for specific calendar dates, like 9/1 @monthly, but how do I do it for specific days of the week? (I have to move my car for the street cleaning the first Wednesday of every month.)

Can I have Sandy Update my twitter? Last reply on June 26, 2008 21:10.
Is it possible yet to tell Sandy
"Remind me I have a Doctor's Appointment at 5pm Today."
And at 5pm That day, have your Twitter AUTOMATICALLY change to
"At the Doctor's"
Do you have any ideas of how Sandy could integrate with other web services? -

Tighter integration with Outlook or Gcal/Gmail Last reply on June 18, 2008 18:27.
It would be great if Sandy could be tightly integrated with Outlook or GCal/Gmail. There are apps out there that will sync directly with Outlook and GCal along with the contacts to allow you to see your schedule across multiple PIMs. It would be good if Sandy could know all of my apointments, not just the ones I tell her about. Same goes for contacts or even ToDos. If Sandy could not just add to them, but know all of them I'd be the first to pay for this service.

Defaulting reminders as to-do's
I'd really like the option to set reminders to default to being todo's. I use iwantsandy most through twitter from my phone and having to add "@todo" on to the end of everything takes up 5 characters and is annoying.
The reason I want to be able to do this is because it would be great if I could get a list back from sandy of everything that I've asked her to remind me about, in the style of a to-do list.
Useful/not?

Check list? Last reply on June 23, 2008 20:59.
I'd like to create a list where each of the items is like a "todo" item. Where I can check it off when I'm done with that. The main reason I'd use this is for work, we have new computers coming in all the time, each of them with a lot of software to install and things to make sure of, and I'd like to reuse lists for this purpose. It'd just be easier than creating todo items for every thing on a list.
Is this possible now? If not, can it be in the future?
