Stop the "Time for a tweet?" message! I set up Twitter, follow Sandy and she follows me, and I get my messages without any problem. But every time I log in, I get this message:
"Time for a tweet? Twitter private text/SMS messages to me from your cellphone or instant message me from your desktop. Have reminder tweets delivered through Twitter to your mobile, desktop, or anywhere else you're tweet-able! Click here to introduce your Twitter self to the Twitter me."
Why doesn't Sandy seem to recognize some messages? From the Sandy website, twitter, and thwirl, I say things like "d s r call restaurant in 1.5 hours @todo" and she doesn't recognize it. I've noticed other words that seem to confuse her too.
Here was I wanting to pose to my kids that (1) Dad's alll high tech and (2) Dad can actually remember to do something!! And Sandy let me down :-(
Why? Because I sent in reminder for "tomorrow" and it got all nicely set up, but I had changed my "remind me" setting to 7 days before as I like plenty of warning for things. However, of course, this means my "tomorrow" reminder was "due" 6 days ago and so has disappeared into the ether :-(
Would it not be worth some "intelligence" being applied to reminders so that if its less than the default reminder time it either asks you to stipulate the reminder time or at least warns you that you won't be reminded.
Might be nice to have a few reminder 7 days, 3 days, 1 hour and 30 mins before so you get advanced warning to e.g. go buy present then further warnings to take it round ;-)
Hi,
Really thought I had found a site that would do everything I wanted but find that when I ask her for e.g. my ToDo list via Twitter I just get my first item - how unhelpful is that :-(
Personally I would like each list item to come through as a different Twitter, that way I can easily reply and knock them off the list as I do them and still have a running list of those outstanding. I realise there's a 160 character limit but doubt anyone will have a list item of longer than that!!
Why can't I see the bulleted parts of an @todo list when I'm looking at the browser/daily digest? I can see the bullets when I get the daily digest email.
