I realize that my comment is fundamentally kind of wanky here. But when I went to the site for the first time, and was immediately confronted by the image of a young, perky, can-do woman, it was depressing, even if the drawing is a little retro-campy. It reminds me of the article I read positing that the old Aunt Jemima figure was a friendly stand-in for the household help you can no longer have. Isn't it a GOOD thing that we no longer have perky female assistants in every office? You could easily have the same email interface with a less depressing anthropomorphic figurehead.
Can todo's without times but a date be sorted in alphabetical order?
I'm trying to sort my tasks by a priority I assign to it by prepending a 2 digit number in the description with 11 being the highest priority and 33 the lowest. If the task doesn't have a date, it will then appear in the proper order in my daily digest with 11 at the top. If the todo has a date, it won't display in alpha order with the appointments for the day as it is presented in my daily digest (it's unclear if there's any order at all).
It would be great to have a plug-in to allow us to Sandy info from the browser to our favorite assistant. (Yes, she's a verb now) Maybe we want her to store the bookmark, or grab selected text for a note or reminder. A Sandy button on the toolbar and a right-click option. Icing would be if she had our tags list avail for quick tagging
I'd like to have a Sandy web application for the iphone. I think this would be a great addition. What are the chances of something like this coming to fruition?
I sent the text "Pick up 1.5 pounds of potatoes tonight at 6pm" to sandy and got back an appointment on 5/1/2009 to "pick up pounds of potatoes tonight."
So, I'm going to be buying too many potatoes in about a year thanks to you Sandy.
Firstly love Sandy. Can not live without it (but really hoping you will provide SMS to Australia some time soon?).
The issue I have is when I attempt to snooze a message (by replying to message and typing "snooze ofr 1 hour) I get the following message "Hrm. I couldn't find this anywhere. Might you already have deleted it?"
Is it possible to add more than 1 secondary email (i.e. having 3 or 4 emails connected to my Sandy account?) I tried adding my third email but I it kept popping this message when I click on the confirmation link
"Oops!
Please try again in a moment — the antacids should have taken effect by then."
I always get a server error when Jotting to IwantSandy from my phone. Jott recognizes Sandy as an addressee, and says "Got it" after I finish dictating. I also get an SMS from Jott with the transcribed message, so that part seems to work. However, Sandy never gets the message, and the SMS from Jott says "server experienced an error" right below the message to Sandy.
No problem when I email directly to Sandy, though. So what's the problem?
I love how Sandy handles my Jotts. I would love it if Sandy could handle mileage logs dictated from Jott. For example, when leaving a destination I could dictate the date, current location, destination, and odometer mileage, and when I arrive at my destination I could dictate my new odometer reading and Sandy could update an ongoing mileage log with the total miles and details.
I occasionally have something for which I'd like a reminder further in advance than usual - for example, even though my default reminder is 15 minutes, I have an appointment that I'd like to be reminded about 24 hours in advance. I know I can edit the appointment on the Sandy webpage, but is there any way to set a reminder like this when emailing Sandy?
I use google talk on my phone and my computer and the instant feedback of a sandy bot would be the closest thing to a real personal assistant that I could afford.
the logging features built in would make this nice too.
In order to save money on SMS charges (yet still get my Twitter Reminders in SMS and be able to snooze them), I'd like to be able to independently toggle whether Sandy sends confirmations and reminders to me through Twitter, ideally on the Twitter Settings page, similar to what Remember the Milk offers. (I would still like to receive Confirmations through email, though, so I don't want to turn them off altogether.)
I love this service -- where has it been all my life. That said, there's one feature I would love. I'd like to cc Sandy on my Entourage calendar invites and have her understand that that is an appointment I should be reminded about. To do that now, I have to type "remind me ... etc." in the body of the message, but that looks odd to the other calendar invitees. It would be great if Sandy just recognized it as an incoming calendar invite and parsed the data appropriately.
Is it possible to change the number of events which show on a page when I display "this week" or "next month" etc? I'd like to be able to see all of one week when I click on "next week" - right now it runs to two pages, so it wouldn't be a huge page if it was all displayed at once.
The layput of the Home page is great but if you want it to show more than 1 day then you have to put up with calendar items on one screen then everything else on another. Could we not have calendar items in with everything else somewhere?
Either a drop down on the home page (which gets remembered) to set time or have in the existing dropdowns have "All including...xxx" where xxx is the other drop down list
