A 'social' web connected gps navigation device was released last year called the Dash (http://www.dash.net). I was recently poking around their website to see what sort of improvements were in the works and I see they have released an API to allow 3rd party applications to interface with it.. iwantsandy.com seems like it could be a good match; maybe something similar to the Funambol integration:
..It could be very useful to have your GPS navigation system notify you to complete a to-do item when you are in the vicinity ("remind me to buy toilet paper at the store..")
Is there a way to ignore phone or e-mail information in a request? Sometimes I want to include a phone number in a todo, but not create a contact. For instance:
r to call mary at 812.123.4567 @todo
Sandy ends up creating a weird contact for 'Call Mary'.
It would be nice to be able to ignore contact info like:
I'm having a big problem storing contact information in Sandy. I can't seem to edit my information. I add details, then Sandy says that she saved, it, but then I check and she didn't save anything. (I do this using the website.)
It seems that Sandy will only store a few preset things about a contact. I can't add arbitrary text, like where I met this person, what the date was, when I contacted her last, etc. All that information gets erased when Sandy "saves" what I added. So, can I get a list of which contact "labels" Sandy will actually remember? I hate learning this by trial and error. ("Phone", "Office Phone", "Organization", "Department" etc..)
Department: B)
Organization: Santa Monica
Office Phone: 310-555-5555
Also, why oh why can a Contact be recurring? I have several that are marked @daily. This makes them impossible to edit. Seriously, the web site hangs. ("saving" is displayed forever.) I have to send Sandy a new message, with all the same info, without using the @daily tag.
> remember to contact Sandra at the DMV 310-555-5555 @todo @daily
> remember Sam at Wells Fargo. 310-123-4567 x 1234 I met him on 04/04/2008 and he works Thursdays and Fridays in the downtown office.
I have spent some time looking for something that explains how we contact Sandy via text messages (if we wanted to) so that I could add the number to my cell phone, just in case. I figure it's quicker to ask here so that I can get back to working with the ever-flirtatious Sandy on setting up my schedule.
