Why is Sandy not interpreting multiple tags properly? Last reply on July 01, 2008 10:08.

I originally thoguht that the Daily Digest page wasn't working properly because it wouldn't update with all the new reminders I was adding. After a little digging around, it looks like anytime I add a reminder with multiple tags, only the "@todo" tag is getting interpreted, and the rest is ignored. This means that all my reminders now only show up in the "To Do" view.

Example: "Remember to repost furniture on Craigslist @todo @1" is interpreted by Sandy as a todo with text = "Repost furniture at Craigslist @1". Why is Sandy ignoring the remaining tags all of a sudden. Sandy was working fine as recently as Friday, the 27th.

Can't Update My Todo List by Replying to Daily Digest Last reply on June 25, 2008 21:25.

I keep getting an error message from Sandy saying "There was more than one detail in the message you replied to" whenever I tried to update my todo list by replying to her Daily Digest. I'm usually replying from my Blackberry, so I can't really go back and erase everything I don't need. Is there any way Sandy can just learn to ignore the original emails farther down the email chain? See text of original emails below.

    Howdy!

There was more than one detail in the message you replied to, so I wasn't sure which one to update. Notice how I number each item I list? I do this so that you can refer to a specific item you want me to update, like this: update #3 12/2/07.

    Affectionately yours via email,

    Sandy

Categorized daily digest would be a huge improvement! Last reply on June 22, 2008 20:40.

My #1 wish is to be able to tell Sandy which items to display on the daily digest by selecting one or more tags and to have items sorted by tag on the daily digest. So, for example, in addition to @todo, I might use tags like @projects, @errands, @phonecalls, and then have my daily digest with 4 separate sections: to-do, projects, errands, phonecalls. Basically, this would give me a categorized daily digest.

Daily Digests not showing up - Again. Last reply on July 02, 2008 00:53.

Yet again I'm not getting daily digests. I was caught in the congestion a few days ago, got one proper daily digest and one reminder and now nothing. I'm not sure if this is limited to the DD since I haven't added any specific items since the snafu.

Resending fresh copy also appears to not be working.

Jott Feeds + Email + Mailbucket + Iwantsandy = daily digest Last reply on June 09, 2008 12:43.

I have finally found a way to get my full daily digest to me from my phone and its now read to me!

If you are already using www.jott.com you might know of the new jott my feeds where you can have RSS feeds read to you. Currently i have my daily digest sent to my email every morning. But that does not help me if im not near a pc. so if i could turn my email from sandy into an rss then i could make my daily digest email an rss.

so what you need to do is tell sandy to send a daily digest to your email every day. then create a filter to forward that email to xxxxx@mailbucket.org and have your news reader pick it up at mailbucket.org/xxxxx.xml (where you choose xxxxx, having checked that it's not already in use).

so now your daily digest is made into an rss at mailbucket.org/xxxxx

go to www.jott.com and create a new jott feed. and in the feed url put http://mailbucket.org/xxxxx.xml

    hope this helps anyone

RSS optional in @todo bookmarks in Daily digest?

Is there a way to prevent RSS retrieval of a bookmarked URL's content from showing up in daily digest emails (ie: in bookmarks that are also tagged @todo)?

Missing Checkboxes in Daily Digest Last reply on April 29, 2008 02:16.

Update aftermath - as far as I can tell, some great changes took place with the new update, but I'm really perplexed with the new view on Checkboxes in the Daily Digest.

I use a number of different tags to keep items separate (work, home, calls) - and was VERY happy that they all had a nice little checkbox next to them. I'm happy you changed the weird 3 way checkbox in favor of the new simpler one, but NO checkbox by default on non-todo tagged items? Why? That seems kind of crazy to me. Not a fan of having to double tag (@work @todo) items I send to Sandy now.

I guess I'm not sure what kind of work flow you guys are suggesting now...

Do you recommend NOT adding @todo to all new items, and just having them be non-checkboxed in the daily digest - then we click "edit" then "forget" to remove them? If so that seems like a step backwards in ease of use.

    Do tell...

and BTW Rael - you do a GREAT job with keeping this board alive!

Ordering Events & Appointments by date as default

Currently, Sandy orders things "Sorted by updated date (most recent first)". That's possibly ok for things like lists, but I hate it for my daily digest, appointments or tag pages.

Example: I sent in an email to sandy with all the opening dates for movies I want to see this year, all in date order from most recent to the far future, all tagged with @movies. I then added @movies to my daily digest. However, due to how Sandy reads emails, all my movies are now listed in -reverse- order, with the 2009 movies first, then in descending order. This means to see the next movie coming out, I have to go all the way to the bottom of my page.

Snapshot of said @movies page: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70...

Aside from undated items, I don't really see the need for this ordering to be default. However, I'm sure someone prefers it that way, so I'm not saying do away with it, but add an option in the "settings" to set your preference. If there IS an option somewhere, other than adding in various flags in the URL, then I'm clueless where it's hidden as I've gone through it with a fine tooth comb.

How can I disable the daily digest Last reply on April 16, 2008 08:22.

The way I use sandy right now is to create separate reminder items for each task, and have them sit as unread messages in my mailbox (I don't like unread messages in my mailbox:)).
What I'd like to do is disable the daily digest, since I don't work with a daily reminder of tasks: In fact, I use a link from sandy to 30boxes to view items scheduled for the day if I have to.

So is there any way I can disable the daily digest emailf from Sandy ?

Better section customization in Daily Digest?

Right now, the daily digest shows all my to-dos in one list. This doesn't help me easily see the things I should work on while I'm at work vs. while I'm at home. A (slightly) richer syntax in the daily digest customization that would let me have one section for todo+work, another for todo+home, and another for todo-work-home (the "other" bin) would be fantastic.

Is there a way to get Sandy to Resend Daily Digest? Last reply on April 07, 2008 20:24.

When I get my daily digest I reply and make changes to various changes to details and schedules and would like her to resend my daily digest with the new updates. Also I like to get my digest at the end of the day to make sure I've done everything. So I guess I'm asking if there is a way to ask Sandy to send another daily digest? Like look up daily digest or something?

Show @todos for all dates in Daily Digest? Last reply on March 31, 2008 19:45.

Is there a way to show all of my @todos in the Daily Digest? I'd like to see everything I have to do and a list of when it's due, but if I put a date on an item, it will only show up on that date.

Still Learning Last reply on March 31, 2008 18:28.

I am new to Sandy so this question is probably easy. But, now that I get my daily digest of calendar and to do's, how to I respond to have them marked as completed or done thru my email so I won't get them listed in the next day's digest. I only want to get those things I need still to do or work on. I don't want to have to sign on to the web site each day to get this done.

How do I sort by date in my emailed Daily Digest? Last reply on May 09, 2008 18:42.

Is there a way to sort items in my Daily Digest by date? I have all my school assignments showing up on my digest by using the @school tag, but it really doesn't help to keep me on top of things because the dates are all mixed up. Can I sort these items by date somehow (not on the iwantsandy website, but make it so the daily digests I receive in my email are this way)? Right now, I'm using the Google Calendar/IwantSandy partnership to work around this, but it would be much easier to just see all my @school items in order, so I am up to date until the end of the semester each time I look at my digest.

All day events and daily digest trickle in Last reply on February 23, 2008 23:07.

My default reminder time is set as 6:00 am. I've noticed over the last few days that my reminders for all day events and my daily digest each arrive at a different time. Today they arrived between 6:09 am and 6:53 am. My daily digest arrived at 6:28. I usually check my email around 6:45 to get ready for the day, so I'd like to have all the reminders in my inbox by that time. Is this a problem with my computer/email server or should my messages be arriving closer to 6:00 am? Maybe I just need to set my default time earlier so Sandy can get all of her early morning tasks done :)

I reeeeeeally like the printable daily digest. Clean, neat, good stuff.

I was wondering if there's a URL I could go to in order to see that digest.

I thought it might be cool to point an Automator action to it so that it'd just print it out at the start of the day. Izzat possible?
