I tried with the private url first given to me, Google Calendar failed that.
I then tried with;
* SunBird calendar application and
* Evolution for linux
they worked fine.
Back at iwantsandy i turned off private url, saved, then turned back on private url, saved, to acquire a brand new private url.
It still fails.
Can you please assist me with this problem? I am keen for this functionality in Google Calendar and I think I am the only one in here with this problem.
Sandy todos do not export over to Thunderbird as tasks. All the appointments come over fine but not todos. (I subscribe to the Sandy calendar by using the "subscribe" link). What am I doing wrong?
OK, here's the deal. I wanted to subscribe to my private iCal feed in my Backpack calendar. There is functionality for this and I have been able to subscribe to my Sandy feed in iCal. In order to help with the issue on their end a 37Signals rep told me I'd have to give them my private iCal feed URL. I'm not inclined to do so. Is there anything that you at Values of N can do to work with the 37signals folks on this? I'm rather tired of trying.
I just signed up and emailed in an appointment for noon. It's been correctly entered at noon at iwantsandy.com but when I added this calendar feed to my Google calendar, it was inserted there at 11am. I'm in the UK (and have this set on iwantsandy.com and Google) and we're currently on Daylight Saving Time. Could this be throwing the times out by an hour, and if so, how would I fix it?
I've subscribed to my Sandy feed in iCal, but to-do items are showing up as events on the calendar, and not in iCal's "to-do" list. I supposed the correct behavior would be for an item tagged @todo to show up both places, since it could still be an appointment-type event... but I'd really like it to show in the iCal list, so I can check it off, and so it will show up in Leopard Mail as well.
Attempting to refresh my calendar subscription in iCal (which worked at first!) yields: "Request encountered an unexpected error on subscribed calendars (code 4)."
I sent the following line to IWantSandy:
Remind Work at Reception 9-6pm Friday @weekly
This is correctly read by Sandy, and added correctly to the appointments list with the correct times. However, when i import the iCal feed into Thunderbird (Lightening), the time shown is 17:00 to 2am the next day.
I don't think it's a caching thing, as I did this yesterday, and it's still wrong.
When I added a reminder of "Remind Work at Reception 9-1pm Saturday @weekly", the website was right, but the iCal feed said 17:00 to 21:00.
Confused. Please help.
I've also tried:
Remind Work at Reception 9-6pm Friday @weekly
Remind Work at Reception 9am to 6pm Friday @weekly
Same problem. Works on the website - not on the feed.
I am having a problem getting sandy to add items to my google calendar. If I click on the daily digest gaget, the appointments are listed, but they are not added to the calendar page. What am I missing?
I tried adding the Outlook 2007 integration and it prompted me for a login. I put in my login and them Outlook complained that the file was not valid. Is this feature supposed ready for prime time?
I'm having two problems with iCal on OS X Leopard.
1) Subscribing works but refresh says authentication failed.
I can subscribe to my calendar OK (See 2 below) but if I refresh the calendar, I get the exclamation point of death and it says authentication failed. If I delete the subscription and re-add it, it again subscribes fine but can't be refreshed.
2) Not everything shows up in my calendar.
When I subscribe to my calendar, some of my repeating items do not show up after the first occurrence and none of my todos show up even though I told iCal not to remove task, reminders, or attachments.
This makes me anxious because I can't rely on a system if I know it's dropping stuff. :\
Hi, I read about the fix for iCal problems in Jamie's post, however there is still some stuff not working properly. After following the procedure my iCal does display the to-dos in the appropriate column, however it only displays the to-dos that are already tagged as done!
The 'not-yet-done' to-dos appear in my iCal as appointments preceded by the word 'To-do:', i.e. a box at 11am saying "To-do: buy milk"
Would it be possible to not display the done to-dos in the to-do column and to put there the actual to-dos instead? (Sorry for the tonguetwister)
By the way, I run Mac OS 10.5.2 with iCal 3.0.2 (1236)
