I have been trying to subscibe to Sandy's iCal feed for my account. I can subscribe initially, and see the events in my iCal. However, when iCal refreshes, the iCal subscription is failing with an error "Request encountered an unexpected error on subscribed calendars (code 4)."
Anyone seen this, and any guidance on how to fix it?
When I create an event like so:
r Some Class 8/19 4:30-5:00pm @weekly
Sandy properly realizes that it's a weekly appointment that starts on 8/19 and repeats indefinately. However, it seems the iCal feeds she exports for this don't share that information and show them starting immediately. Can this be fixed?
Same thing happens if you "forget" one instance of a repeating event. It still shows in the iCal feeds .
How do I synchronize Sandy with my BlackBerry? I am using Microsoft Exchange and was hoping there was some way to automatically add appointments using the iCalendar ICS feed that is now available to us. I have also added it to my Google Calendar but can't figure out a workaround to combine the two calendars on my MS Exchange account.
My end result is to have Sandy's appointments fed straight to my BlackBerry, can anyone help?
I have subscribed to the ical feed so Sandy's calendar will be sent to my Google Calendar, but when I add items, they are not shown on my Google Calendar and I do not receive reminders from Google regularly. I can unsubscribe and resubscribe and that seems to reset the reminders, but that's a pain.
Is there a way I can just send a refresh to Google Calendar?
They don't seem to be able to figure it out on their end. Is there a way Sandy can figure it out on her end so she can either send an automatic refresh every 10 or 15 minutes, or at least a manual option where we can just click on something and it will automatically send a fresh ical feed to update Google Calendar?
When adding events that span multiple days, the events appear correctly in Sandy's calendar, but when I view them in iCal, they are always one day short.
For example, create an event like this:
"Remember OSCON in Portland, OR from 7/20/08 to 7/25/08 @conference"
Sandy will show that even occurring from Sunday through Friday, but in iCal, it will appear only from Sunday through Thursday. Adding one extra day to the event fixes the issue in iCal, but Sandy then thinks I'm there on Saturday, as well.
I would like to sync my google calendar events to and from Google Calendar / Sandy. Is this coming down the pike or it already a feature and I just can't find it?
I want to be able to add, edit, and delete to dos/events from iCal or Mail, but the calendar provided is read only. Is there something I'm missing, or this just isn't available?
Although I subscribed to my private ical feed in Google Calendar, my items don't show up at all. I subscribed in Mac ical and the items do show up there. What gives?
The Sandy iCal calendar I subscribe to shows incorrect information: a todo shows up one day before the event is due, e.g. a to-do planned for April, 28, will show up in iCal under Sunday 27 april.
My time zone is Europe/Brussels and has been configured correctly both in the Sandy settings, and in iCal.
I am new to working with Sandy and have set up and then archived and forgot several appointments while learning my way around.
Now I have a weekly appointment for my son's soccer game, however the last game in may 17th. I went to the week after that and archived that appointment and everything after it.
In Sandy nothing shows after the 17th, however when I use ical, I get all the appointments I have archived. I even came back to Sandy and did a filter including the archived events and told her to forget about them. They still end on the 17th in Sancy but still show up in ical.
Is there anyway I can exclude these from the ical export?
iCal- I use iCal's week view and I can never guess where an item will show up - sometimes a todo item shows up above the first "12:00am," some times it shows up below the second "12:00 am". What is the correct syntax for each?
This would enable other platforms, e.g. Evolution on Linux, or {Thunder,Sun}bird or other calendar / browser combos that don't share cookies (my guess is that iCal on the make uses the same cookies as Safari?)</some-long-unique-key>
Is anyone using Firefox extension called Google Calendar Notifier in combination with "I want Sandy" iCal feed?! I do and there is a problem loading this Sandy iCal feed into the Google Calendar Notifier. It says "The calendar Sandy could not be loaded at this time". It seems to be a permanent error since it shows everyday. Has anyone had this problem too? Do you by any chance know how to fix it?!
I rely on on the "alarm" in Apple ical to beep and remind me to pay attention to an event. Does anyone know how to make the "Sandy" events which show up in the shared apple ical calendar to also have alarms?
When I suscribe to the http://iwantsandy.com/list.ics feed google tells me it can't open it, I suspect because google doesn't have my cookies.. Anyway to add something to that so that sandy knows which calendar she needs to feed?
I already have iCal as well as the Entourage Calendar, and Palm software. I have no idea how to have Sandy insert reminders into any of these. Please help--and thank you!
I have received ical notices on some events (by adding @reply tag). When I go to "accept the invitation" to the events, I get an error message saying that the invitation was sent from an email address other than my address. So, they won't show up in my calendar. Earlier this morning, I was able to accept some invitations without any problems. Any suggestions? I'm fairly new to iCal, but I've been able to figure out everything else on my own. Thanks!
