I love how Sandy handles my Jotts. I would love it if Sandy could handle mileage logs dictated from Jott. For example, when leaving a destination I could dictate the date, current location, destination, and odometer mileage, and when I arrive at my destination I could dictate my new odometer reading and Sandy could update an ongoing mileage log with the total miles and details.
I am currently using google calendar/gmail as my core calendar and email applications. For off-line use I have synchronized these with Mozilla's Thunderbird w/lightning plug-in. I like Sandy but would like to sync it with these other apps so there is one master calendar, task list, alerts. Sandy would be the app which notifies me and how would often get updates into the system (e.g., "remind me of ..."). As an aside I have Jott synchronized to google calendar which is cool -- it would be nicer to synch Jott to Sandy.
I have finally found a way to get my full daily digest to me from my phone and its now read to me!
If you are already using www.jott.com you might know of the new jott my feeds where you can have RSS feeds read to you. Currently i have my daily digest sent to my email every morning. But that does not help me if im not near a pc. so if i could turn my email from sandy into an rss then i could make my daily digest email an rss.
so what you need to do is tell sandy to send a daily digest to your email every day. then create a filter to forward that email to xxxxx@mailbucket.org and have your news reader pick it up at mailbucket.org/xxxxx.xml (where you choose xxxxx, having checked that it's not already in use).
so now your daily digest is made into an rss at mailbucket.org/xxxxx
When I Jott myself a todo, it rather frequently interprets "tag with todo" as "tag with to do", which gets me a remember tagged with @to and @do. This falls off my daily listing and pretty rarely shows up when I want it to.
I have also mis-typed and entered "@to do" by mistake.
Yes, I can bypass Jott's helpfulness in this regard by tagging as "tee oh dee oh", but that makes me sound like an idiot when I'm asking my virtual secretary for appointments.
It might be a nice helpful feature if Sandy automatically concatenated tag requests which separate or hyphenate "to" and "do" into, simply, "@todo." That would fix Jott as well as general stupidity (or at least make some headway against it).
Sending a Jott to Sandy allows you to send a message at your convenience with your voice. Jott will then transcribe your voice into text, and deliver it to Sandy.
Jott Links are used to "link" Jott with other services, such as blogging and social networking sites.
Hi iwantsandy team! First off, here's my request: Could you configure your service so that it recognizes keywords even if there is a quotation mark before them? For example:
"Remind me to ...."
I tried this, and Sandy would not recognize Remind because there was a " before it. Could you please fix this?
The reason I'm requesting this is because I'd like to integrate Jott.com with iwantsandy (awesome combination...). I call jot with a reminder, it transcribes my message and send it to Sandy, and she keeps track of it like normal. The problem here is that Jott sends my transcribed message inside quotation marks. For example, in the body of a Jott email I sent to Sandy:
"Remind me to go to bed at 8:30 PM."
That's what I said, and that's what I want Sandy to record, but she got stuck on the " at the beginning of the line. Please fix this for me! Thank you sooo much, and keep up the GREAT work!!!!
