Recently active topics in I want Sandy tagged with osx

I'm having two problems with iCal on OS X Leopard.

1) Subscribing works but refresh says authentication failed.

I can subscribe to my calendar OK (See 2 below) but if I refresh the calendar, I get the exclamation point of death and it says authentication failed. If I delete the subscription and re-add it, it again subscribes fine but can't be refreshed.

2) Not everything shows up in my calendar.

When I subscribe to my calendar, some of my repeating items do not show up after the first occurrence and none of my todos show up even though I told iCal not to remove task, reminders, or attachments.

This makes me anxious because I can't rely on a system if I know it's dropping stuff. :\

When subscribing Sandy ical to Mac's ical it erases the display of all my calendars. When removing Sandy, the calendars redisplay.
