Why doesn't the edit item dialog go away when changing tags/date?

When I edit an item, the dialog box comes up. I change the tags, date, etc and hit save. The little spinny thing spins, but the box never goes away unless I hit "cancel" or refresh the page. However, if I click on an item, then hit delete, the dialog box properly goes away.

Using Safari 3.1 on OS X.

I'd like to create an appointment or todo with a custom reminder time using a single message to Sandy. So I'd like to, for example, schedule an appointment at 12pm and have Sandy remind me at 9am. I realize that I can create an appointment, then go to the site and edit it, or I can reply to Sandy's response with "update #1 remind me at 9am."

Since the functionality is there, I was wondering if there was some syntax I was unaware of to tell her to create an appointment at 12 with a reminder at 9 in one fell swoop.

Sandy and Stikkit are down this morning due to what appears to be a power outage at our colocation facility.

Thesaurus for the word Remember

It would be nice if you could set up a "thesaurus" for Sandy for the word "remember". It's more natural for me to use other verbs instead of remember. Like if I could tell Sandy, whenever I type "order", "call", etc that acts the same as remember.

Is there a way to have Sandy know when I'm traveling? I'm normally on the west coast but I'm in NY often enough that it would be great to be able to tell her via email where I am going to be and on what days/time.

I have Sandy added to my Google Calendar. Her little icon shows up on each day. When I click it, I am asked to login to Sandy. I do and it asks me again and again. If I go directly to the Sandy site, I can log in with that info, no problem

White space can influence text search results. If you search for (quotes used to show spacing) "@work " it will return a different result set than "@work " or "@work".

Apparently, the syncing solutions suggested for Entourage (synching Ical to entourage) don't work on the 2008 version?

Is there anyway to make my sandy feed show up on my entourage calendar? (it's currently on my iCal)

How does Sandy handle BCC's? If I've bcc'd sandy on something I want her to note the conversation down, but saying something like "Sandy remember foo" obviates the point of a BCC.

Is anyone using Firefox extension called Google Calendar Notifier in combination with "I want Sandy" iCal feed?! I do and there is a problem loading this Sandy iCal feed into the Google Calendar Notifier. It says "The calendar Sandy could not be loaded at this time". It seems to be a permanent error since it shows everyday. Has anyone had this problem too? Do you by any chance know how to fix it?!

Twitter reminders keep coming despite being turned off

I've set the "Would you like me to send you reminder tweets?" to off in my Settings but it has no effect. It might have something to do that I've sent the reminders through Direct Message in Twitter and not by email (which I never use anyways).

This is actually only my secondary problem. My original intent was to turn of the Twitter confirmations (not actual reminders) but there's no such an option to be found. Because I deliver my tweets to my mobile, these confirmations (for me at least) are just spam.

I'm Rael Dornfest, Founder and CEO of Values of n: the folks that bring you Sandy -- your personal assistant and mine.

We have quite the rousing conversation happening here on Get Satisfaction, don't we? I must say I'm rather awed by the incredible ideas and suggestions you've come up, the depth of troubleshooting you've engaged in to help each other (and us) out, and the sheer volume of activity.

I'm thrilled to have had the chance -- amidst answering questions, troubleshooting difficulties, and otherwise supporting Sandy -- to meet a good many of you (albeit virtually). I've long wished for copious free time to meet even more of you (including those of you quietly playing along at home), introduce you to one-another, hear your stories, learn from your experiences with Sandy thus far, share some of the motivation and thinking behind our service, and generally shoot the breeze.

To that end, I'd like to invite one and all to the first I want Sandy Town Hall meeting, Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 (that's tomorrow!), 12-1pm Pacific Time (America/Los Angeles) at https://pibb.com/go/iwantsandytownhall

I got to Jott (the link Sandy gives me for Jott links does not work) and go to links and add Sandy and click the save button and I get the screen at Sandy telling me that when I do what I just did I'll beable to complete step "When you arrive, click the "Yes" radio button and the "Save" button to activate your new Jott Link." but I see no radio button or save button and can't gt past this step despite repeated tries.

I just noticed this for the first time: I sent a few emails from my mobile device to my Sandy email address as reminders. When I saw the email messages on my PC, the first sentence is Sandy thanking me for introducing her to ME, at the same email address I have registered as my primary address for sandy! And she wants me to click on a link to set myself up as a friend - to me.

Just a little bit weird. Sandy should definitely recognize that this email address is my registered email address for Sandy.

It says that the page isn't redirecting properly. I want to sign up and get reminded of the town hall meeting. Will someone please look into this for us and let us all know when its fixed? Thanks.

Sandy no longer recognizes my email address as being registered! Thinking that perhaps the account list had been purged (or something else drastic), I tried to set up a new account...again, Sandy does not let me in.

Sandy should be very liberal in what she accepts, and very careful about what she throws away.

For example, I sent "remember to download !!! @music"

And received:

direct from s: #27 I got: Download @music

Another very problematic example is an address i sent via phone, which Sandy remembered as " [No name] @address". No recovery from that one!

I don't see why she would drop anything between a command and the next recognized token:

"remember {anything here should be kept} @mytagname"

Generally, it'd probably be best to err on the safe side and keep more than necessary. Users can edit down, but it's way harder to remember what's missing :P
