Perhaps you could make the printed to-do lists a little more streamlined. At present they waste a lot of space with the logo and odd formatting. I would like to be able to get more items on my lists when I print them and take them with me. It would also be nice to have something clean looking. Perhaps you could even make the look of the lists customizable
An example given to try is "Remember Pat's wife's name is Christine." Why aren't contacts for Christine and Pat created with information in each stating that they are married?
I some how i created 2 accounts, so i delete one now i can not get in to the other one. I created bobr@rdrinc.com and bob1r@me.com, i would like to keep the bob1r@me.com.
I've noticed over the past several weeks that, whenever I edit an existing item through the web interface, change the date, and set a new reminder time "X minutes before," the reminder is interpreted as minutes before NOW, not before event.
The end result is threefold:
1. I instantly receive an email reminder
2. Reviewing the item shows date: what I set, reminder: X minutes ago (not X minutes before date)
3. I (obviously) never receive a reminder X minutes before the actual date.
I sent a mail to a friend with an appointment. I CC'ed Sandy and asked: "Sandy, remind us to lunch together, August the 18th". Now, I would like to change the date. I replied to my email with "Update August 25th" CC'ing Sandy again. She told me "No problem! I've shared this detail with Mathieu" but didn't update my appointment.
Why don't you understand month names? When I ask you to "remind me of creating a website in August" you schedule something for tomorrow while we are the 24th of July.
I set up a reminder for a daily activity using the @daily tag yesterday, and today I got 38 reminders, from now until late August all at the same time. Note that I am receiving the reminders via Twitter only - and one could think that this is a Twitter problem, BUT the reminder specifies different dates for each reminder, all the way into late August.
Note that I had created the same reminder about a month ago, and it was sending the reminders just fine, until it stopped sending me anything last week. I checked the calendar online, and the reminder was no longer in my list. Therefore, I created a new reminder - for which I received 38 notifications today.
I should be able to give sandy my ebay account and she can look look at the auctions that I'm watching and remind me when they're ending via email/sms.
Can you create contacts with the "powertips" syntax? I just tried it and it didn't seem to work...
I used:
Remember @oldjob +
* Bob Jones (Administrator) work number is 555-123-4456 home number 555-642-2345
* Company website is http://old.401k.site
* Jane Doe cell 555-523-1234
I wound up with 1 bookmark (good) and 2 notes (bad). When I broke it out into 3 separate Reminder lines (in 1 email), it correctly got 1 bookmark and 2 contacts.
I just took a quick look at "Posti.ca", which is kinda like sandy but only for notes. Have you given any thought to rearranging Sandy's "Notes" interface to something like this? I really like the Post-it visualization of nodes.
I just scheduled a bunch of events with sandy and noticed the following little quirk in time parsing:
* r Do something Monday 4:30-5pm
That works just fine.. But change it to
* r Do something Monday 4-4:30pm
And it schedules the event at 4:00, and adds "-4:30pm" to the event title and ignores it. Saying 4:00-4:30pm works just fine, so it's something with the start being only the hour for the end being hour & minutes.
How about a setting up a Sandy status RSS feed? If Sandy is having issues, then it would be good to informed of this before the fact (i.e. when you check your RSS reader, say), than after discovering something isn't working as it should.
Problem: I track lots of repeating events in Sandy. For example, I entered my Tuesday weights routine as "r upper-body and abs @fitness @weekly @todo". (I've tested this with and without the @todo tag, BTW; I just prefer to use @todo for everything that isn't a time-specific task.)
When I have finished the workout, I want to check it completed. However, I get a pop-up asking if I want to mark the entire series completed, and the only options are Yes or Cancel. Since this event repeats indefinitely, I certainly don't want to mark the whole series done! Past instances show up in my schedule and/or @todo list because Sandy thinks they're still active.
Idea: Please implement an additional option to select "this instance only" for actions (archive/edit/complete) on repeating events.
why don't i get the confirmation text message on my mobile phone when I send it from your site? I've inputted the correct number and carrier. I've asked the confrimation number to be resent several times. I am currently receiving text messages from other sources. Please help!
I love Sandy; I couldn't manage without her. But without disloyalty, I sometimes think it would be fun to have some other choices of personal assistant: a faithful robot companion, say, or a lab-coated Igor (are my geek credentials showing?). . . each scripted differently, of course, but on the same basic model. I think people like to personalize, even just a little. And when I realize how "real" Sandy is to me, and to the people who know she works for me, I wonder if you couldn't generate even more loyalty by playing to that anthropomorphizing impulse.
I've been trying for days to get any form of positive action from Sandy. Despite reminders being receipted by E-mail, I've had absolutely nothing. I even had one receipt for a phone call reminder that afternoon receipted as being dated as same date but 2009. I sent another stating 2008 which was receipted but come the time as usual I received nothing.
