I am not receiving any recently created reminders, either via email or sms. The reminders appear on Sandy's web page, correctly worded and tagged, but the actual reminders are never sent. Please advise. This has been going on for several days now.
The SMS reminder text begins "(Reminder)" which is all that I can read in the Blackberry subject field.... so I have to open the message to see the content. How can I delete this "introduction"? After all, I can already see that its from Sandy, so I know its a reminder.
I've set some reminders to repeat daily, i.e. Remember to wake up at 5am @daily.
I've been consistently getting email reminders for these. They show up on my daily agenda thingy and on my schedule on the website. But I don't always get SMS reminders (which are more useful to me). It's not even that they're late, they just don't come at all. But I do get SMS reminders for other things. What's the deal?
I can log in to Twitter; I follow Sandy and she follows me. If I send Sandy a direct message from Twitter (e.g., "d s remember this test twitter today @reply") I expect the following to happen:
1. I should get a reply via SMS from Sandy saying "I've scheduled this for you: "#1 Thu, 3/6 This test twitter"
2. I should see an appointment for today on my Your Stuff page, "Thursday 3/6, This test twitter"
But nothing happens! I can see my sent message in my Twitter Direct Messages SENT Box, and that's it. I have Twitter tweets turned on in my Sandy preferences, and if I press the TEST button on the Sandy preferences page I get the SUCCESS tweet on my phone as an SMS message and I see it in my twitter DM inbox.
I can't get the mobile feature to work. I have Sprint PCS. Sandy's confirmation texts are not getting through. What do I do? Other texts are getting through, so I don't think that's the problem! Please help!
There are certain occasions where I'd prefer NOT to get SMS reminders. When I'm actually sitting at my computer in the middle of the day, or when I'm home at night. If I know I'll be out on the go, then I'd like the SMS reminder. Also, I don't get an incredible amount of available out of network SMS messages, and I'm sure others have the same problem. If I could tag reminders with @sms or something, and only send an SMS reminder in that case, it would solve both issues
Cricket does not work to receive text messages but I can send an email to "myphone@sms.mycricket.com".
However, because it is a text message, the number of characters is limited, so I can't see the web address to respond to the verification email.
Is there another way to verify my cricket address?
Is anyone getting the sms confirmation to work with their iPhone (USA - ATT). I've tried both ATT settings and the Cingular setting and nothing is coming through.
I'm on MTS Mobility (in Manitoba, Canada), which is often partnered with Bell Mobility Canada (as Bell is national and MTS is provincial). Does MTS Mobility fall under the umbrella of Bell Mobility Canada in Sandy's "Mobile" settings, or am I out of luck for the time being?
I tried getting an SMS confirmation code using Bell Mobility Canada as my provider, but I haven't received anything back in an hour and a half, which is making me wonder if MTS is included.
Problem with SMS & Emails. For the last week, I have not had SMS/email reminders delivered timely (if at all). Is the system bottle necked? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
How do I "postpone" a reminder from Sandy through an SMS? For example, if I am reminded that I need to call somebody, and I receive and SMS informing me of that, how do I get re-reminded in 15 minutes?
when I twitter Sandy I only ever get a response which instructing me how to remind and update. It would appear my sms twitter updates are not being recognised. Any ideas?
I want to use Sandy mostly through text messaging on my LG phone with Verizon, and am having problems setting this up. (I don't use the web on this phone because of cost, and would love to use Sandy when I'm not near a computer.) Is it possible to just use text messaging for setting up and getting reminders??
if there was a way that sandy would pass my sms reminders on to google calendar's sms update feature it might make them play nicer.
(see: http://urltea.com/38f1?gcal_sms_docum...)
sandy: r lunch meeting tomorrow at 2pm
gCal: lunch meeting tomorrow at 2pm
so close... there's gotta be a way, right? This would cover most, if not all, of the relationship sandy needs to have with gCal
I'm on Rogers in Canada, and all my SMS reminders come in via emails. Not a huge problem, but annoying that I have to reply with a 'read' message before I can see a reminder. Any suggestions?
Is there a way to make Sandy's responses less verbose? My cell phone has limits on the number of characters that are allowed in an email, so I'd like to drop the non-essentials like the greeting and footer.
I've tried to get Twitter and Sandy to play nice together, but it's just not happening. I went through the guide to making this happen, almost no success.
I can get Sandy to follow me and me to follow her. I got the confirmation Tweet very quickly. I get the test Tweets almost instantly. But that is where things end.
I've tried copy and paste-ing the examples. All I'm seeing is that my message was sent when I use Pidgin from my GTalk account. But when I send the same message from the Twitter website I am told that the user doesn't exist.
Um, what? I don't think I can follow someone who doesn't exist.
There are no replies and no direct messages from Sandy on the Twitter site.
I really don't know what else to tell you so that I can have this working right, but I'll be happy to answer any questions that could help lead to the solution.
