Can i send sandy an ics file to make an appointment?
I use Mail.app in an office that is mostly outlook. When I receive meeting invites, they come as .ics attachments in email. I can double-click on these to import them into iCal, but I'd like them in Sandy. Ideally I'd just be able to forward her the attachment and have her remember the appointment, but the only way I've found to do it is to type out the meeting info as "remember <blah>".
Is there a way to do this?</blah>

Inappropriate?Hi Derek,
Sand does process any .ICS files you send to her and adds them to your calendar. Have you tried it? If so, and it didn't work, can you tell me what Sandy did do?
Best,
David -
Inappropriate?Hi David,
Weird... I tried again and it worked! Previously I'd just gotten a response:
"I got your email but couldn't find anything you asked me to do."
But this time it worked. Maybe I just forgot to attach or did some other user-error type action before.
Thanks!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?you can do this? I have a lot of problems getting ics files from Sandy into google's calendar. If this works, i'll be, ahem, very satisfied.
OK, it almost works. I get the repeating events with an end date but the time gets missed. The reminder time is in there, so that's close enough. Seems like an extra step but it's covers a lot of ground.
So the ics files I get from Sandy I can't use in google calendar but these will let me feed Sandy with the right information and she can put it on the Google calendar. But at the moment, I am not seeing any event from I Want Sandy in the Google. I'll poke around in here and see what I missed.
I’m cheerfully optimistic

Inappropriate?ics doesn't work very well. The reminder time is set semi-correctly, it doesn't take into account a time zone change. The meeting is set as an all day event and not for the correct time period.
I’m bummed.
-
Inappropriate? How do you get this to work? I tried about 5 times and kept getting the email telling me that she had no idea what I wanted.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? This has worked for me, the only problem is that I use Google Calendar and Sandy doesn't recognize yearly events
-
Inappropriate?Huh. This used to work and now I get just one event, instead of the 8 in the ics file. [yuugh]
If any of Sandy's staff are about, here's the file I sent.

Inappropriate? Is there something specific you have to tell Sandy to make her understand .ICS files? I just sent her one and she didn't even reply to my message! I checked online and the appointments aren't added. I've done this once before and it worked like a charm.
