Can I use a redirect email for Sandy's address?
I set up a redirect at my work domain for "sandy@mywork.com" and routed it to my custom iWantSandy.com email address. When I send it to this redirect, my messages don't seem to get through to Sandy, however when I send them directly to my custom address, they work great. It would be awesome to use my custom address so that A) I don't have to remember her full email address and B) my clients/contacts, etc. won't be as confused when I CC Sandy on my emails.
Am I doing something wrong or is this just a problem with the Sandy configuration as it is today?

Inappropriate?Yes, I've had the same frustration.

Inappropriate?I've set up the same thing and then redirected the messages to myself after I saw they were not getting through to Sandy. I think the problem is that the alias I created is showing up in the "To" field in the message that Sandy gets, even though the e-mail is delivered to her actual "custom" address. She is probably seeing that as an invalid message and discarding it. So I see 2 possible solutions:
1. Have the folks at Values of n change this behavior (perhaps by allowing us to register an alias with Sandy that she will recognize).
2. Change the forwarding behavior on our mail servers so that the actual mailbox address shows up in the "To" field instead of the alias address. I am not sure how to do that, though. -
Inappropriate?Mort, I don't think you'd want to do #2. I think #1 is the answer to this one.
I was actually thinking it would be useful to be able to set that email address within the iwantsandy interface so that it sent reminders from the alias rather than the email address they give. It would actually make sandy look a little more professional.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Me too. I want to setup an email redirect to email Sandy.
E.g Emails to "me at myoffice dotcom" get forwarded to "myaddress at iwantsandy dotcom".

Inappropriate?I've setup a redirect "secretary@mydomain.com" exactly as you did.
Sending or CC-ing a "remember to..." to this redirect doesn't work for me as well, but a "Sandy, remember to..." works perfectly!
