Default reminder time 6am, reminders arrive at 8pm
Default reminder time
When should I remind you about all-day events?
set to 6am.
I just got an e-mail (at 8pm) saying:
A friendly reminder about:
#1 Water soak the two orchids
- Email and Twitter reminders at 8:00pm
I don't need to point out that 6am != 8pm. My timezone is set to America/Los Angeles.
Sandy, you're going back to secretary school.
Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas why this is not behaving like I expected it to?
Thanks,
Graham

Inappropriate?I just signed up for I Want Sandy and I had an appointment at 4:45pm today but did not get the reminder until 4:31pm (???). I had my reminders set at 6:00am since I leave the house around 7:00 - 7:30 and do not have access to my personal email at work.
Any suggestions?
I’m not impressed.....

Inappropriate?quackers,
By default, Sandy reminds you 15 minutes before the event. In this case, the reminder was sent at 4:30 and took 1 minute to get to you.
Right now, there are two ways to do what you want, neither of them as nice as we'd like (we're working on it!):
1) After you email Sandy, she'll reply right away to let you know she got it (assuming "Email replies" are turned on at http://iwantsandy.com/settings/email). You can reply to that email and say "remind me tomorrow morning" to change the reminder time to 6am.
2) You can also click on the name of your item in the email to open it in Sandy's web site. From there, you can edit it and change the reminder time.
Hope this helps,
Marshall
