Forget command no longer working
Sandy responds to a lookup command by sending me an email with several numbered items. However, if reply by saying
forget #3 (for example)
and then submit the original lookup command, I find that Sandy has not in fact forgotten #3.

Inappropriate?Hi Michael,
I wanted to check in to see if this was still a problem for you or others.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem and then some. If I try to forget by clicking on the item from within Sandy's interface, then choosing "forget", the item does not go away permanently. It will disappear for a few minutes, but the next reload (from going to next or previous page, for instance) brings it back.
Also, I have tried responding to a lookup query with "forget #1" (or whatever), and the item does not go away. Moreover, like others have mentioned in other related topics, I get a response of "hrm, I couldn't find this anywhere." I have attempted this via gmail.
Worse yet, each attempt to forget or change the status of an item seems to make it proliferate. If I email Sandy "remember to call the florist on march 16", I will eventually see multiple instances of "3/16 call the florist" in my to do list.
Since I subscribe to Sandy from within iCal, this last snafu is amazingly frustrating. Refreshing the calendar from within iCal seems to also trigger the "proliferate" button. I now have (in some cases) 15 or more of the same item within my todo list that I cannot delete from inside iCal because I cannot modify Sandy that way.
Please let me know if there is a work around. I have been trying to figure this out for a day now; talk about an efficient use of a personal assistant. NOT! I want to love you Sandy, but you are making it hard!

Inappropriate?I have recently started to use Sandy and I am having trouble with the 'forget' command also. I always get the "hmm, I couldn't find this anywhere" response. Fix?

Inappropriate? This is also happening for me. I had several items that were tagged @weekly, and after a while I no longer needed them, so I told Sandy to forget them, but they just keep coming back. The only way to solve this is to go to the website and forget them from there. Even so, at least one has STILL come back from that.
I submitted all of them as problems on the IWS website, but I got ZERO responses.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? This problem seems to be less of a problem now as opposed to when I first started this thread six months ago. I still occasionally find that Sandy doesn't properly forget items when you respond to a numbered list and your response includes several items, e.g., f #1 5 8 9 11. Also, to forget the entire weekly sequence of items be sure to include the @weekly tag in the forget response otherwise Sandy will only forget the current item.

Inappropriate?Hmmm... what is the syntax for this? Is it:
forget #1 @weekly? -
Inappropriate?Yes
-
Inappropriate? The syntax to specify a recurring event actually depends on what type of recurring event it is. If it's a daily event, then add @daily, if it's a bimonthy event, then add @bimonthly, etc.
Be sure to include the recurring event tag in order to change every future event in the series.
> forget #1 @daily
> forget #1 @bimonthly
> update #1 @monthly 5:10 pm
Of course, you can always log onto the website and edit the recurring event from there.
