I want recurring reminders
The more people who like this idea, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Try the @weekly, @monthly, @yearly tags for recurring reminders.

Inappropriate?remind me to fill out my time card at 4pm @daily

Inappropriate?I'd like recurring reminders on an hourly basis.
Recently I needed to take antibiotics every 6 hours. I could have used the reminder because I was on painkillers at the time also.
I’m much better now.

Inappropriate?Hi MrQuick,
We didn't actually teach Sandy to do @hourly since -- quite frankly -- it never cropped up before.
If what you're needing is a reminder every couple of hours, the best I can suggest at present is (using short-hand "r" instead of "remind me" and a list format to apply the tags to multiple items and just generally leaving out all I don't absolutely need):
r @daily:
* antibiotics 6a
* antibiotics 12p
* antibiotics 6p
* antibiotics 12a
We are working with Sandy on list support which would make the above even shorter (you'll be able to leave out the "antibiotics" in all and put it only in the first line).
Sorry I don't have anything more creative for you at the moment.

Inappropriate?A couple things I've thought of that would be nice:
1) How do I specify an end date for recurrence? For example, I'll be taking a class that lasts for 10 weeks, meeting Tuesday and Thursdays nights.
2) Specifying the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Or the last Wednesday of the month. I've got a couple groups that meet this way.
Thanks!

this is one of the best points

Second Wednesday, last Wednesday and so on - This is a must-have! ...please. -
Inappropriate?I would like to be able to have more options in the repeat tags. Could we have something like @2weeks (every 2 weeks) @45days (every 45 days), etc.
-
Inappropriate?@Kurt, This has come up in a few other posts here. I too am waiting for a response to this feature request...
Sandy "remember to build a way to tell you to stop repeating an appointment after a particular date @prontoplease"
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Hi GTDesign,
Why not respond to Sandy on the final reminder you want from her with:
update @archive
And she'll stop right then and there.

Inappropriate?Rael,
While this suggestion would work, it seems an inconvenient solution. The main issue that I have right now with the inability to make an end date for a reoccurrence tag is that I am subscribing to Sandy's iCal feed... so when I look a few months into the future in iCal, there are events that are not really on my schedule but Sandy thinks they are. Know what I mean? It would just be much better for many situations to be able to specify an end date.
While on the subject, (apologies if this should be on a separate thread) I would also like to be able to tell Sandy to forget one specific instance of a reoccurring event without forgetting the rest that followed that date. Example: I have classes every monday for the next 10 weeks... every monday except 21 Jan for MLKDay. When I told her to forget the 21 Jan instance, she forgot the rest after 21 Jan as well. Not ideal.
I really like the concept of 'I want Sandy' and would like her to be as good of an assistant as possible.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?I'm also looking for a solution to "remind me to do X for the next 6 fridays" without having to remind Sandy when it's done.
-
Inappropriate?What I ended up doing is opening the event as Sandy stores it and downloading the calendar to iCal, where I can apply an end date and add a location (two hints/RFEs for later releases there). Not sure how to sync it back up to Sandy's magic book, though.
I’m happier.
