Inappropriate?Not sure if this will help you or not, but I ran into a similar problem when I wanted to confirm my cellphone as a secondary email. I was able to go to iwantsandy.com (you should be able to do this at home where it's not firewalled) and create a "New" item in iwantsandy where I put the code that was provided to confirm with. She was happy with that and my secondary email became verified. So you don't literally have to respond in order to confirm the mail address.
