I wouldn't be quite so quick to count Twitter out: they're working hard to scale things and Sandy's back to chatting with Twitter on a minutely basis. As soon as their Jabber (IM) interface is fully recovered, we will be resuming our efforts to hook back in with a direct Jabber-to-Jabber conduit and at that point will certainly consider direct Jabber to Sandy support. -
Inappropriate?I'm bringing this request back to life. Twitter shows no progress on getting their IM interface back, and is even looking like they'll just sit back and let outside people (ping.fm for one) take care of the IM interfacing for them.
This is a problem for me and my relationship with Sandy because I can't get IM reminders about anything. Sure, if I check the Twitter site I can see that I got a direct message. But if I'm able to check the Twitter site like that, there isn't really a reason for the reminder to begin with.
Is there any hope for getting Sandy her own IM interface that would be able to both send and receive messages?
I’m not happy that Twitter is killing my Sandy experience.
